all i can tell you is that my sisters both felt that they could no longer associate with me because a) i couldn't be spiritually upbuilding to them and b) they were afraid i would try to turn them away from the truth. one sister had just heard a talk in which the elder said to write down your top 5 friends and then analyze how they can build you up. she said she couldn't see how i could fit into that so she had to stop associating with me. my other sister had a "tragedy" in her extended family because one ex-jw started talking to his jw brother and "lead him astray". so walls started to be put up everywhere for fear she would be gotten to. i always tried to never give them any reason to have to stop talking to me. their "highly trained consciences" told them what to do.

i became inactive about 5 years ago. up until this year all of my family continued to associate with me. my 2 sisters have decided to shun me based on their "consciences". but my parents still talk to me. mom said the only reason she will stop is if i say something against the witnesses. i feel that this may change though as her conscience continues to get pricked by what she reads and hears from the platform as they get more strict about inactive ones.
you won't be giving jw's a bad name by not following all their practices and just being inactive. you just let people know in your life that it's applicable to that you're no longer associated with them. you don't have to take official action for it to be understood by the "world".

the best thing about my luv nvr is that no matter how much he's on here or how much he's working, he's always there for his good friends when they need him. he also spends time nurturing himself which is so important. i just think he doesn't sleep. :)

hey, babe. it's me...you have been such a dear to me. i want to say that you will never know how much you have helped me, but, alas, i think you do know. your words of encouragement, "constructive" criticism (LOL), celebratory dances of joy, and so much more have been everything i have needed and i have been so happy to share with you. glad we could give you something so crazy to "work" on!! :)

!..just got back from civilization yesterday..it`s soooo nice to be back in the wilderness.....i`m sitting here at my computer catching up with all the posts..my enormous picture widow is directly in front of me..the desert sun is out,it`s going to be a beautiful day..i look out the window a there are two gigantic animals 20ft from the window..moose..a male moose,extremely muscular with a huge set of horns sitting majestically on his head..a long tassel of skin hanging between his jaw and neck.
(just like a wild turkey)..??

A need to break the JWD habit
by OnTheWayOut ini cut back for awhile, then i posted up a storm for a few days.. i tried to go online just to check email, and jwd was calling my name.. i am an addict.
the bitterness with the borg has died down a little bit, .
but the desire to comment and read about jw's is strong.. i will break the habit next week.

I've never been a big poster. Posted when I really needed the help. Got great help! Got a little too wrapped up in becoming "anti-jw" for my own good. So I've chilled and will continue to on here. Glad to see you're moving on. You were literally trying to get out when I joined and I've enjoyed watching your progress and actually feel a little connection to you because of it. o yeah, i had the bible and reasoning book bound together with my name embossed on it as a baptism present. when i got married i sent it back in to have my maiden name removed and my married name put on...fortunately it was the same amount of letters. i had all the things for service...plastic sorter/protectors for tracts and mags, little hard binder for rv's...
