i was a motorhead- still am and a doper, even though i was a good little witness boy. i smoked more weed and drank more alcohol than any of my "worldly" friends. the worst part was when my mom found my stash, like 200 dollars worth, down the toilet. i wanted to play football, i was 6'7" 300lbs. in school. and not really fat, just massive. the coaches begged me to play, but, the dubs. wouldn't let me. i could be a freaking millionair by now.

Non organised ex JWs, why?
by greendawn infrom time to time we hear that the ex jws should have organised themselves to a high level and that doesn't necessarily mean setting up another religion in opposition to the wts but some sort of rather secular organisation to carry out that task.
no doubt this lack of organisation plays in the hands of the wts who escape the nightmare of a highly organised efficient opposition.
the rough treatment of ex members in my opinion is intentional and aims at emotionally stunning them to pre empt the possibility of them having a clear mind with which to fight their fraudulent, cultic objectives.

this is a good idea, but, i see a few problems. one, like you said, who would get the funds? none of us really know each other, so, who do we trust? second, if for some reason it fails, you know the wts would be all over it and would say, "see that's what happens when you go against jehovah" it would help them. i dream of this getting done, and if it was well organised, and the funds were transparent to all, i'd gladly write my check.

Are we in love with our own pain?
by nvrgnbk ini've been doing alot of introspection lately, and i've been wondering this about myself.. what has been your experience?.
do we carry our pain around for so long that it becomes a companion, a part of our self-identity?.
though we know it will benefit us to let it go, do we hold on to it, not wanting to lose an old friend, an integral part of ourselves?.
