A thread that started as a well needed rebuke to conspiracy theorists has quickly become a vehicle for conspiracy theorists. They just can't help themsleves.
Exactly!!!!
the forum has recently been peppered with all these end of world, gloom & doom threads.
some people all the sudden know exactly what's going on and it's meaning and what's going to happen next.. why do people love these conspiracy theories soo much?
have we not learned?.

Exactly!!!!
while watching this series on leaving your religion i couldn't help but see the similarities with my own experience.. it's a bit long (13 parts), but well worth it.
i hope you all enjoy.
believers and non-believers alike.. .
Glad you enjoyed it ND. That book "Leaving The Fold" sounds interesting. Might need to look that up.
Thanks.

Why do some look forward for the end of the world? Is your life in such a mess that you feel that the only way out is the end of everyone else?
This is getting ridiculous already. Stop this nonsense.
Go out there and live and love people!!!!
a request.
if you are/were not an elder and wish to comment, by all means do so, but please preface your comment accordingly.
if you are posing as an elder, please, please refrain from responding lest you inadvertantly do some damage.. i have been provided hypothetical consequences from the membership at large, now request the answer from a position of authority.. the question.. if the elders in my wife's congregation should decide that i have become a spiritual danger to her, how would they advise her?
Nick I'm in a very similar situation as you my friend. Not easy at all. I know what you're going through.
Nothing worse in the world then loving someone but knowing you can't ever again make her feel happy as she felt before.
Hang in there.
transcript for the talk "trust the faithful and discreet slave" talk given at the kingdom ministry schools:.
trust the faithful and discreet slave.
have we ever had to meet up with somebody with whom we've not seen before?
pirata...are you pulling our leg? This sounds way too cultish.
If you're a dub, and you're able to sit through this and agree, well then you deserve what you get.

djeggnog invited me to start a new thread about the blood doctrine, which i am happy to do here.
his objection was my statement,.
"i've seen the blood video, a deceiving mix of scripture, fearmongering and pseudoscience, with plenty of lab coats in view.
just n from bethel...I don't know wether to die crying or die laughing at that video.
That was too funny!!!! LMAO
a comment or two made on the "gay glee" thread prompts this question.
a couple posters said that gay people shouldn't show affection in public and went on to add that even heterosexual affection in public makes them uncomfortable, or it isn't appropriate, or whatever.. my question is simply, why?.
my wife and i are very affectionate in public and i know it has honked off some people but we frankly don't understand why..
Mad..I agree with you. I just don't get it? It's actually scary really. If we as a nation continue to have these homophobic intolerant ideas how can we ever be tolarant of anyone.
We have to ask, if we don't change what makes us different of the muslim faith? Or any other ass backwards thinking? We like to point at them as being primitive in their way of thinking and treating people, but what about us?
Exactly Blondie!!! We love to point at the WTS but some of us continue to have these bad habits that don't die off.
many people ask why someone like me, who came from a christian home, went to a christian high school and then went on to spend five years in seminary and become a pastor, a missionary, and an evangelist, would turn his back on the god he spent a lifetime worshiping and serving and give up all faith in the supernatural.
the answer is very simple, and im about to give it.
first, however, let me tell you what the reason is not.. most people, upon hearing my story, all unanimously decide regardless of their own spiritual beliefs or religious affiliations that i must be mad at god.
Hey everyone. Sorry I should have made it more clear that this was not my experience. Actually it was LWT who sent this article to me.
But when I read it, it reminded me of what I also went through when I was in the cult wrestling with my doubts. Many similar thoughts and reasoning went through my mind as well.
(Son-of-a-gun!! I never knew that you were a Baptist minister, at one time!!! )
HAHAHAHA very funny, yes. You never know ziddina, maybe one day. The lord works in mysterious ways so they say. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!
And Whereami usually wants believers to respond to his threads:
Thanks Tammy...you're a sweetheart. I see where you're comming from your responses. I can respect that.
The Origins of All Religions are Clear: The first man to invent religion obviously looked up at the sky and said “I have no idea how all this got here. I made this hut, and this fire, and this wagon, and I tamed this wild dog, and so whatever made the sky must be something very similar to me, only much more powerful.”
Obviously?
Come on. Back that up. There are critical thinkers in here. Do you like what he's saying because he's speaking reason and proof, or because he agrees with your own belief?
I think that's a very reasonable "theory" on the matter. I believe many Archaeologists, Historians ect would agree with that general idea. Doesn't sound far fetched to me, no? Actually sounds very reasonable. All you have to do to see that today is go to any primitive tribe today whether it be in Africa or in the Amazons in Brazil for example and you can see that they do exactly that. I believe there was a program on that on the History channel or Discovery channel on exactly this issue.
