Jehovah dissassociates self!
by czarofmischief indeity resigns post.
in a press conference this morning, jehovah god announced his intention to remove himself from association with the watchtower organization, citing "irreconcilable differences" and "personality clashes" with senior witness leadership.. "they kept on bugging me, taking my ideas and then twisting them, and then hogging all the credit!
" said god.. "the final straw was when they told me my son had to cut his hair," said god.

Kazaa and spyware!
by DanTheMan inabout a month ago i downloaded kazaa.
i used it to snag a couple of songs, and haven't used it at all since.
(i'm on 56k, so it's hardly worth the effort).. but ever since i installed it, i've been getting annoying pop-up ads.

JW relationship with a Study?
by MoonChikDayi ini'm currently taking book study and still am not sure about completely pursuing the religion, but am openly analyzing what i am learning.
i am currently dating a jw... my question is how is it looked upon when a jw dates a "study" ?
is it allowed by the elders or will he be shunned?

Some here may not agree with this statement: I think it is admirable that you are looking into the religion, since you do have people in your life close to you that are JWs.
That being said, I have to tell you that he does not sound like he is too strong if he was a servant, was removed and is dating someone that is not already baptised. And he is telling you that the religion may not work out for him? That is never a good sign for JWs.
I cannot tell you to cease or continue your studies. However, keep in mind that if you do become baptised, you have to live the religion (or at least put on a convincing front), or you will get booted right out. It is so much better to walk away from the religion BEFORE you get baptized than after, because they cannot disfellowship you. They used to Disassociate un baptised people years ago, but had to stop that.
I think both you and your boyfriend should be very careful in considering how this will affect your relationship if you get baptised, and he leaves. Good luck!

What do you think of Baha'i Faith?
by Eyebrow2 injust a little curious....i had gone to one of the websites i found by searching baha'i faith online.. i found a site that wrote on 9/12/01 saying:.
the destruction of the trade towers and the attack on the pentagon and its related events should be considered a terrible warning for the safety, security and salvation of humankind.. the second international baha'i council condemns the use of terrorism and violence as a means of change, but we have tried to warn the people of new york for years of these coming disasters, accurately predicting on national television the first act of terrorism against the trade towers in february of 1993. these acts of horrific destruction are only the beginning if the governments and peoples of the world do not submit to the authority of god and his messengers and their clear and evident proofs.. what is up with that???
i know nothing really about it so i figured i would pose the question on this board: is this religion a bit fanatical?

Up date on moi
by shera in.
if you want to know..... if you remeber when i had it a little rough a few weeks ago considering my son,who is disabled with autism.well things are better.i decided to quit my job and stay at home with him.i have now controlled most of his behavior but i still have a hard time with keeping him clothed.i looked into many places but they just can't offer me anything, for him with out the money...i realized my son basically just has me and i'm going to be there for him.. working and having a full time job at home was too much for me and i'm not ashamed to say that too.
well he can still stress me out but we are both happier people.he has changed much, now that he has his mommy at home..

I have an austic nephew...I am not sure how severe, since he is in a dub family and I never see them (just not close..not a shunning thing/they live about 6 hours away)
I admire that you were able to be strong to figure out what was best for both you and your son.
Keep your chin up, and never forget to come here when you need encouragement.

Perhaps they were shown how to use the pages as toilet paper when they are sent to a third world country to annoy the natives there.

I am going back to the Kingdom Hall......
by ColdRedRain in...just to watch my aunt get married.
had you fooled there, huh?.
a few people who i know on the board know my family irl.

this is your aunt's day....try to remember that...go, have a good time, but show her respect.
Remember this: If you do act out at the wedding, all the JWs are going to think..see what a person becomes when they leave?
Don't give them justification for their belief that they are only the right religion.
This is your chance to be the bigger person....rise to the occasion.

They lost 7 bible studies
by caballoSentado inhi friends, .
i just found out that one of the persons i talked to about the un scandal and .
the wtbs hypocrisy, a very good & loving person, a real christian, has cancelled .

Wow...this witness must have had some doubts before to cancel that many studies over this issue...I wish her well.
She has a difficult road ahead of her dealing with the congregation once it gets out.
Tell her Bravo for following her conscience!
