it has now been seven months since megans passing my babies will be 1 and 1/2 yrs old in three days.
it has been 3 months since the court battle over the custody of my children.
40,000.00 dollars has been spent on the trail and all proceedings.
Larry...yes please listen to the other posters here and get that in writing.....so there will be nothing to stop you from getting your kids back.
You have been through a lot...and you will be able to get through this..always remember you are doing it for your kids....never forget how much they mean to you, and that you are their dad and they need you whether they are with their aunt or with you.

okay, lets get an unofficial count of all the people who actually did get gifts on other days of the year.
We parents were so damn poor...and had so many kids my dad was RELIEVED that my mom was a JW hahaah...
We sometimes got gifts...my mom tried to do a toy party for a few years..in January...when all the toys were on sale..and she did wrap them.
It was fun...I never really felt deprived as far as gifts go...I did think it was stupid that some kids I knew had to wait until Xmas to get a new pair of boots or coat because their parents could not afford much. But I DO hate that reasoning...just say, hey we don't do it because we don't celebrate XMAS..end of story...there is no need to justify it if you truly believe it.

this kind of stems from the problem that set my doubt blender on puree to begin with.
about nine months ago, my wife (who i was separated from for two years) confessed to sleeping around.
I am moving from New England to Texas because we get my two stepdaughters every other year...and then the mom sends them to live with her crazy JW mom out of state...(my mom is sweet and she is JW...so I know the JW is not responsible for the insanity hahah)..I say if you have custody, you definately need to have him at least part of the time, or take him altogether.
What is going to stop this guy from showing favortism when his own flesh and blood is born? It is good you have it set up, but I would be concerned that she could contest the custody since you have not taken him. You should talk to your lawyer again about this if you have not already.This is a difficult situation, but I agree with another poster here that said the mom can move closer to you if she wants joint custody...etc.
Good luck...I truly hop the boyfriend turns a new leaf and the mom grows up, but you cannot risk your son's well being on thier good intentions.
just curious about something that i am trying to understand in my marriage.
when i am not at work i am usually home.
my husband is home all day due to being retired due to a work disability.
I think watching tv or a movie together can be togetherness...especially if you are interacting.
When my husband and I watch a race or football game on tv we do a lot of talking about it; in fact, when he is away on a business trip, he will call me up and we will "watch" the race or game together, talking at the same time about various stuff. We also will fold laudry or other things.
I like to watch movies with him too...but we don't talk that much during a movie...but we will talk about it a lot after. I also like to watch tv with my kids and we discuss things as well.
If that is ALL you do together, that would frustrate me too. Does his disibility limited him from doing other things? I have a friend whose husband is a little the same way. Sometimes if my husband and I feel that things are getting away from us and we are not doing enough together, we will do something simple, like put all the kids in the van and just go grocery shopping or run errands. Not very exciting, but we are together.
One thing I do with my son is to go on a drive with him if we need some alone time to talk.....

I know one women whose husband works for a Chevy dealership. Every NH race he gets two free tickets, and several of his coworkers do too. He even one a trip to Daytona this summer with his son from an employee promotion that the dealership run. I know that is the dealer taking care of their peeps...but still.....

i have a daughter that is almost 4 years old.
she is obessed with graveyards and death; not in a scarey way...just seems fascinated by it all.. everytime we pass a grave yard in the car she has to point it out, talk about the bones that are in it, etc.
she brings up the fact that everyone will die and be no more when they are old and their days run out...she told me i was old and had only three days to live the other day...eeek...if i make it to monday then i will be reassured that she is not psychic, hahah.

I also have another nephew that was diagonosed about 2 years ago as autistic...I am not sure how severe, since I am not really that close to my brother. Oddly enough, he is my half brother, we have the same dad, but my other nephew's mom is my half sister...we have the same mom, so this particular sister and brother are only steps...no blood relation whatsoever...what a sad coincidence that would be.
Thanks for your concern..while I have never really considered it for my daughter, it is something to keep an eye on. All my kids have their own little personalities...but this one, what can I say, she is really unique...quite enjoyable actually. She loves to ham it up.
On the light side of things, I must tell you that my side of the family has a severe case of SAS on my dad's side...all my brothers and sisters that are my dad's children have it...some more sever than others. Ohh...SAS stands for Smart Ass Syndrome...

Has treatment for your child helped? I was surprised when I was discussing this with my mom that she felt there was nothing that could be done, and my sister and brother in law felt the same way! I was like...my god...you cannot be serious???? I know each child is different, but I knew that was some information out there.
when i was 4 , my grandmother gave me a beautiful little gray suit.
i loved it..... on easter, we went to a park with a playground, (i guess this is why i chose "physical activities" for my category for this post) and i fell.
i cut my knee badly but, more important, i ruined my little gray suit.
