Hmmm....if my husband were already dead, I would rather eat myself to death with chocolate.
If he were alive, I would tell him to take care of it himself hahah.
here is a serious question for you to contemplate and answer.. if, near the natural end of your present life you could receive a drug that induced within your brain a state of mind most closely resembling one long orgasmic "experience" (but, which would prove fatal within 24 hours) would you.........?.
1.refuse and accept whatever pain or misery naturally happened according to chance.. 2.accept and go out with a cosmic virtual "bang"?.
of course, tell us why you have chosen the way you have chosen.. part two.

we got a command at the service meeting tonight - the km article on the summer district conventions said if we are dining out we really should tip 15-20% minmum -this was repeated twice = good to know the witnesses are getting less tight
I won't go out to eat if I don't have enough to tip.
There have been a few rare times when I haven't tipped though: this one time, the waitress took about 20 minutes to take our order, never stopped by to see how we were doing, then it took at least 30 minutes AFTER we had finished eating to get the check. And that was after waiting about 15 minutes we went to the hostess station and asked if we could get our bill. We were told we could only get it from the waitress. We told them if we didn't get it in 5 minutes then we would consider the meal free and do a dine and dash.(yeah we should have left 10 minutes earlier, but my bark is bigger than my bite and I was afraid we would get reported. We were frequent diners there).
I think that was the worst service I have gotten. There have been a few other waitresses that have been rude or just plain crappy. 20% to me is for superior service, and 15% for good service. Usually if I get a crappy waitress I will still leave at least 10%. However, if I get someone that you can tell is still wet behind the ears...if they are NOT that great, but are at least polite I will still tip them at least 15%.
I used to be a waitress, so I appreciate what it is like to live off tips. But that being said, you shouldn't be made to feel that tipping is mandatory if the service is really bad. If you cannot live on your tips, maybe you should : A. try to get employment at a more upscale restaurant; B. get out of the waiting tables business.
By the way, most waiters and waitresses I knew never reported 100% of their tips.So no, they probably are not losing 15 to 20% of their wages, per another poster here. In fact, I ended up losing a waitress job because I was the only one that was. The manager told me that I was making everyone else look like they were lying. I told her that was between me and the IRS. Well, next week, I only got 1 shift, and so forth...I finally had to leave. The manager made it clear to me I wasn't the "team" player on that point I guess.
Also, if you don't make enough tips to make a min wage (It was like 4.25 when I was last waitressing) the employer has to pay you the difference. I don't know if that is a federal or a state law, so if it is federal, then there isn't really any waitresses making $2 an hour any more.
Yeah the pay still sucks, but if you don't like it, you really should do something so you don't get stuck working as wait staff unless you really want to.
Law and Order: the original and SVU. At first I couldn't watch SVU it was just too icky for me. Criminal Intent is eh...just not worthy of being called a law and order show. I do like Trial by jury...but it still isn't as good as the first two series.

that is about it really. I love third watch but only watch it on reruns every now and then. I don't watch as much tv as I used to...I usually go in spurts...watch a lot for about 2 weeks, then not so much for a while.

Something has to be done.
The problem is that you are always going to have people that don't understand the whole concept of personal responsibility, or, those that understand it, but are not well informed on financial matters. These two sets of people may have a hard time with the program.
One thing I picked up on that I liked, was that it appears under the new plan you are able to leave the money to anyone you want if you should die. THAT is a great idea. I do like the idea of ownership that Bush was talking about last night. Whether or not that will actually be the case is another thing altogether.
The thing is though, regardless of how social security is going to change, people need to not rely on it 100% for retirement or disability. It scares me that so many people do. That's where, for me, the whole idea of personal responsibility comes in. There are too many people in this country that can set aside money for retirement, but don't. There are a lot that think they cannot afford it, so don't even make an effort to put even the tiniest bit away. Of course, I do know there are people that may be so poor that they really cannot set aside money for retirement without taking food from their kids mouths. But under the new plan, if it really will work the way Bush claims, this group of people will have a chance to make major decisions on how their ss money is invested. I have to tell you, I think for some that will bring them a great feeling, and maybe even encourage them to take another look at any employer investment programs that are available to them.
I used to sell insurance and investments about 10 years ago. When I met with clients, I took all their financial data, and presented them with an analysis on where they would be when the retired, or died or were injured...etc. What really scared me was how many clients would say, oh Social Security will take care of me...until they got their ss estimated report.
I guess it just amazes how people in a free market democracy really think the goverment is responsible to take care of them. I am all for helping those that need it. But maybe this whole SS scare and changes will wake up those that don't take personal financial responisbility for their retirement or death.
Just my two cents...
there is a general impression that asperger's syndrome carries with it superior intelligence and a tendency to become very interested in and preoccupied with a particular subject.
most children with asperger's disorder have difficulty interacting with their peers.
they tend to be loners and may display eccentric behaviors.
I have one nephew with that, and another nephew that is full blow autistic.

even in our very best of times, we have all had to 'fake' one for the team.. what was your best zinger?.
when I was a kid, I used to hide my meeting shoes or my meeting clothes. We didn't have very much money, so I only usually had one pair of shoes fit for the hall or just a few dresses. I was so naughty...I didn't do it very often though...I felt guilty after, and by the time I was 12 was into the meetings...until about half way through my sophmore year...then I had too much homework, or had to work, etc.
has anyone seen this new series on nbc?
it started last week.
wednesday nights at 8pm.. http://www.nbc.com/revelations/ .
I rather enjoy it so far. I think it is pretty well done for tv. I guess the reason I like it the most is because there were a few things that I could see coming, and slap my husband in the arm, and said...see what I tell you???
Bill Pullman isn't my favorite actor, but he is good at playing someone in angst.
I like medium too. I loved Dead Like Me...am a bit ticked that it was canceled. I really like Millennium too, until it really steered off course...kind of like the xfiles did the last few seasons...they should have ended that show 2 years earlier than they did.
I don't believe any of it either, but I like being able to watch this kind of stuff. And I really like the idea behind Dead Like Me. Is it true...naw...but it sure would be nice if when you die you had someone help you get to where you are supposed to be. I would volunteer to be a Reaper for a few years, heheh.
as some of you may know, i am a recently self-deconverted jw.
the experience of deconversion was at times emotional.
i have compiled a list of songs i would listen to on those emotionally turbulent occasions.

don't you feel terrible when you take your car to the car wash?
the folks who wash your car, immigrants, illegal aliens, and they work so hard and are always there, the same people dilligently washing your filthy car.
are they not some of hardest working people in america?
I don't worry about the car wash I go to...since our vehicles are 10 years old. I haven't had any problems yet.
I guess it doesn't bother me because I have had a lot of crappy jobs in my past. I delivered newspapers..when I was 12 and when I was in college and a single mom. I have been a waitress, a prep cook, a dishwasher, a janitor, factory jobs, I sold pictures from by walking in office buildings and hospitals (I got kicked out of quite a few, even escorted by security. "Oh, was there a no soliciting sign? I guess I missed it")...whatever it took to feed me and my child. I didn't want any pity, and I suspect most of those working these types of jobs today don't either. Empathy and respect. That and a decent tip. I even tip the Sonic people...a little extra for the ones that rollerskate to the car. They have my utmost respect, since I can barely walk and chew gum at the same time.
just had a kid come in needing a bandaid, just made me think of a friends comments the other day.
she reckons that all we need in the world is mothers spit and bandaids.
mothers spit cleans absolutely anything, and bandaids fix any ailment that a child can come up with.
Duct tape of course.
the new KY warming jelly and duct tape can save the world is used together.
