ok comforter,
another question--why is it you remain a witness if you don't agree with the 'rules' they have? the talks given at assemblies aren't just from the elders, maybe you haven't noticed that they are all scripted and come from the GB. perhaps you want to ask the GB if they approve of your 'gathering wayward sheep' on such a site as this? i'm sure your ass would be out the door quicker than you can imagine. so i guess you would rather just stay in the borg and be a hypocrite--HOW ORIGINAL!

comf,
i guess i'm a bit confused. why are you on here whining about explicit content and making it sound like bad association? wasn't it your choice to read and post on this site? did someone put a gun to YOUR head and make you do it? as i recall (i haven't been out THAT long) there were numerous warnings at meeting and assemblies regarding the internet and chat/posting websites. i do remember specifically to be a 'good, true christian' you woulnd't be visiting them anyway. don't turn your own problems and insecurities around on us. be an adult, grow up, and take responsibility for your own actions.

speaking from experience.....
long distance is like one of the toughest things around. requires and enormous amount of trust and you REALLY have to love that person to make things work. be realistic about your expectations and what you would/will each give up to be together.

I did something really stupid.... :(
by Eppie inhey,.
ok, i need all the advice i can get...... last week i told my sister (she is jw, as is my entire family) that i did something stupid.
i had just broken up with my boyfriend because he was cheating on me.... and in some kind of drunk-revenge-mood i slept with his best friend..... .

ep....
i guess i'm just wondering if your sister knows that you're inactive at this point? if so, why would she make you go to the elders? do you still 'hang out' with your old jw friends? just asking these things because i'm in the same sort of boat. got lost in the shuffle when i moved away, not df'd or da'd, but i don't consider myself a witness anymore and no longer accountable to them for my actions. my parents choose to live in denial about my life and choices so they can continue to talk to me. i guess i would deny it. i don't know, tough spot to be in.
