  due to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, i wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem?

  remember, it's 27,000 pedophiles that they know about.

  Did you suffer any PHYSICAL impairments DUE to the jdubs?

  when i was in i regular pioneered for years and had to wear those shitty wing tipped dress shoes.

  i tried wearing flat front dress/casual shoes but the asshole elders said they were wordly.

  well i now have foot problems due to having my feet crammed into a fucking sardin box and literally walking to china.

  Sinis- I got a stiff neck from dad and mom making me sit still at the meetings all those years as a kid listening to them drone on all night. Mom mercifully put me to sleep on the floor before meetings ended. One time they left me locked by myself asleep near the stage, turned out the lights, locked the hall. Didn't notice I was missing until they got home. I have serious issues. When they came back to get me I was still sleeping. They think I'm still sleeping today, spiritually that is. God, I'm twisted.   If You Were Granted Amnesty, Would U Go Back To Being A JW?

  if a new policy arose stating that everyone could return and start afresh, would you ever think about returning----especially if you had family and friends in that would now talk to you again?

  Is it weird that I don't miss it?

  ok, other than my father, i don't miss anything about being a dub at all.

  seriously, i love my life right now, its great, thinking for myself, doing what i want, etc., etc.. i've only been out 3 months, officially, and i find no "void" or anything.

  i've got a bunch of great friends on the outside, that i had for years while being jw, and then i have my mother and all her family supporting me.

  Thanks all of you for comments on this urgent subject. Keep it comin'!! Unique 1- We notice a common theme here, pedophiles don't usually go to jail in jw's for their crime and many times are left in good standing in the congregations. Junction Guy- Thanks for bumping this up bud. More sweeping under the rug and gasp!! nothing worse than a pioneer pervert. They keep getting privileges at times. Ecch! Undecided- Ken, points are well taken. It shows the jw's are just like all religions. But it invalidates their claim to be the true one. Megsmomma- So sick we can't even keep our kids around handicapped people at times. Obviously, he wasn't handicapped enough for his own good! Hope they caught him! Paralipomenon- It's true elders try to hide their own children's wrongdoing. Unfortunately, to them it's all about outward appearance, not about who's getting molested or destroyed by it. Lady Lee- So sorry your whole family has been afflicted by this. I hope you and your sister have been able to get needed professional help to deal with it. Peace to you, my friend. Vanilla Mocha- It's amazing you had to find out about this molester from a post office poster. Just another proof of the witnesses covering it up. That's the point.   Martian, I'm sure you realize the difference between finding out about molesters in the jw's as opposed to the catholics or any other religion is the jw's are trying to hide it with a gag order on the victims not to talk about what happened to them. At least, as Quandary says, other religions have come out and let their people know as well as others that there is a molestation problem. The witnesses won't admit to it and try to cover it up so their members won't know. I mean, just look at the surprised look on your face when you posted. I can see you didn't know as you stated. I'm sorry this information shocked you so much. We could all tell you were emotionally disturbed by the revealing of this by your facial contortions. Just proves our point that once the witnesses are exposed who are molesters, the news really affects you. Thanks for proving the point. Peace, Flipper.

  NEW policy! NO LIT for EX-JWs!

  it's official; they read the letter tonight that puts forth the new procedure.

  if you find an expelled person in the field or are studying with one, you are no longer permitted to give them lit.

  presumably the elders make a decision if an expelled one is regularly attending meetings, but only they can give them lit.

  Thanks for all your replies. Keep em' comin'. Jaqueline- I'm so sorry you were abused by anyone, but especially by someone in a position of authority makes it even more nauseating. I hope you got help later. Skeptic- Amazing how our parental instincts help us protect our kids. Yet, the congregation would'nt. Still a Jw exelder- I knew alot too. At least 10 victims of molestation over the years. Some were close friends who confided in me. Gary- Sad commentary, when the victims are silenced, then their molesters are rewarded with positions of oversight in the congreagations. One good reason to doubt their authority over us and anyone.   Hello Drew, Sorry you and your wife went through this. Many of us have. You did have fair warning from alot of us. But remember elder B and all elders speak with forked tongue. Not just white men.   J-dubs all about appearances

  i've read a number of post here that make the point that as a j-dub a lot of decisions are based on appearances and not real christian love.

  if no one really knows about it the elders will sometimes only privately reprove such a person.. this is so wrong!

  especially in the case where a woman (girl) gets pregnant.

  Trippin'- it's true, it is all about appearance and who sees what. My son knew a girl who had sex outside of marriage with a elders son. The teenage girl got dfed but the elders son got privately reproved. The girl was so depressed she was suicidal. She later got her life together and married another young man. But as the old expression goes , "it's not what you know it's who you know" that get's you off in the jw organization. Sucks, but it's a witless fact of life. Mr. Flipper Peace out.
