Snakesin the Tower and all, thanks! But Snakes to answer your questions, your assessment of time frames are correct. I don't know why they waited 2 months to df me from the absentia meeting till they came to my door to tell me? Maybe they need geritol, old joints, I don't know. The df announcement has been held in abeyance until it's the end of the matter, fat lady sings, 9th inning 3 outs, whatever superlative you want to add! Snakes, what is your take from other ex-elders on this post who say because of the false accusation from ex-wife and daughter, and that they told my parents I had committed fornication before they went to the elders with it, do you think I have a good reason to tell my appeal chairman that I want to file charges of slander against my ex-wife and younger daughter? The ex got my whole family fired up and they sent shunning letters to me and mrs. Flipper 1 month before we got married. To me, that's pretty slanderous. My ex also maligned another sister in a congregation who did massage for a living, telling others that the sister was bad association for having men come to her home for massages. It necessitated the po in her hall to give a condemning local needs talk putting down gossiping about brothers and sisters. So I'm not my ex-wifes only victim here. There is a trend and precedent. Please advise, Snakes. I respect your opinion

Thank you all so much for all this help! You guys are awesome. mrs flipper here chiming in - I also can't believe all the time and effort into this deal with mr flipper. Do you think it could have something to do with mr f's older brother....he is the one the daughter and exwife called up right after their spying mission to our house in aug., to get the family informed of our "fornication", rather than calling the parents directly, probably because they know Mr f's mom thinks they are a couple of gossipy troublemakers. This brother was raised in the org. spent 7 years at Bethel NY, is an elder and supervises the quickbuilds in Calif. Total Superdub. add in my impression that he is and has always been resentful and jealous of his little brother mr. flipper, and that he would like to see the family shun him. He is the one that took the info from the daughter and ex immediately to the parents and they all wrote shunning letters that night. His own letter was extremely judgemental and insulting. What might really piss him off is the parents only shunned for a month or 2, now they talk on the phone, write, and are coming to visit. And that mr f's mom likes to say that mr f has always had a justice streak. Mr f thinks his older bro is too busy and wouldn't have time for such crap. But all these busy elders have wasted huge amounts of time on this. The brother and parents live about 5 hours away in the same small town, probably don't know these jc elders, but if the bro is petty enough maybe he is in phone contact. There, I'm done. You are all so kind to read and respond to all this......flipper the concerned female mammal mate.

At The Peak Of Your JW Spirituality, Did You Ever Not Believe Something ?
by minimus inat your most "spiritual", did you believe everything that was taught----even if you didn't quite understand it all?
-
flipper
Minimus- Having been raised in it since birth(1959) got out 2003, dad being a elder and older brother ex-bethelite very overighteous elder. I guess I just trusted gullibly that what I was being taught was the truth. There were some decent teachings on fruitage of the spirit, etc. but started really doubting when I saw what was being taught was not put in practice, just given lip service, so to speak. The hypocrisy sent me over the edge. Peace, Mr. Flipper

Thanks!! You guys. I really appreciate all your great advice! I think I will try to stall them and say I've got a big contract to finish and won't have any time available till end of July to meet. My fading son told me I should set up an appointment with them late July, then back out at the last minute and say to them,"I've given you all the time you need on this. I've told you everything, no need to meet. Then tell them whatever decision they make, I'm still going to talk to my parents. I don't observe your unjust treatment of me." Of course that's a 22 year old university attending spunky young ex-jdub talkin'. Don't know about that yet. But if you guys have more advice for me, please think about it, I'm all ears and open to listening. Thanks, sincerely, Mr. Flipper

Elders Giving Personal Opinions as Counsel,How did it Affect You?
by flipper inhey everybody.
when i was a witness one thing that drove me crazy was getting counsel from elders shooting personal opinions off their hip like it was from jehovah god himself.
how many times at assemblies, wt articles, etc.

Mr. Flipper here. Loosie- Water his grave with pee? Good thought! I'll help you do that too. Frequent Fader- My youngest daughter(18) tried to tell my witness family I slept with Mrs. Flipper before we married. Only my fading witness son(22) and a fading witness niece(31) were at the wedding. Mysterious- Why don't elders pierce their noses? They'd look cool giving talks! Outlaw- They do suck the life out of you! Their brains are as big as a peanut?? Could have fooled me! Xbehere- That's the problem with elders. Their personal opinions spill out into the congregation and the members think it's gospel truth they're hearing! Big Trouble!! Undercover- That's a long list for sure. But you have a good ironic view though. By the elders being nit-picky it caused us to open our eyes to things. Great point! Thanks y'all, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Hello guys, Mr. Flipper here. Here's the deal, I'll try to be brief, hard for me. Mrs. Flipper and I got married last October, but before that one month before,my 18 year old daughter, her mom, my ex from 1998 and her husband came incognito one Sat. morning to catch me and the mrs. in some kind of compromising position. I had just come to her house to take her to get her car fixed and that's all, but the ex and my daughter tried to say we were together cohabiting. They live 90 miles away and came to do this. I denied this, it was all circumstantial, then daughter and her mom proceed to call my believing family older brother, mom and dad, etc. on the phone saying I had sinned. This was in August. 2 months later get a phone call from my former elders saying they wanted to meet with me about alleged fornication. I said, "My wife and I are married and no we didn't commit fornication. please leave us alone. There's nothing to talk about." That was November. Then 3 months later they send a letter wanting a jc meeting with me.I called the chairman, left a message saying that my daughters accusations are false, there is nothing here. Don't want to meet with you. Then 2 months later 2 elders show up saying I'm disfellowshipped for circumstantial fornication.I said,"What? Did anybody see me commit this act? They said ,"No." So they dfed me in absentia cause I didn't go to the meeting. They said I could appeal, and that's what I did. Wrote a letter stating this was a vendetta thing from my ex-wife and no substance to charges. So in May my 22 year old fading son went as a witness to this appeal meeting supporting my side stating my wife and I didn't live together before our marriage, and supported my character sending him to college, etc. The elders seemed taken aback by my son and my straightforward yet respectful prescence and both stories jived. So the original jc and appeal jc sent us out. Then 30 to 40 minutes later I went back in, and the appeal chairman said,"We can't come to a decision but we'll let you know by phone in a couple weeks. Finally after over a month I got a call from the appeal chairman and on the message he said,"We'd like to meet with you again maybe next weekend or the one after." My question what the hell do they want to meet with me for? Can't they just tell me their decision over the phone? It's a 90 mile drive there, major inconvinience, my son and I have alot of work the next few weeks, and my witness parents who have respected my fading, up to now, are coming to visit my wife my son and I in three weeks. So you see my dilemma? I'm working to stall these guys so I can visit my parents, in their 80's. They like my wife, son ,and myself. Any suggestions??? I'm thinking of calling the chairman and asking what was the decision over the phone? Or, tell him I'm swamped with work till the end of July, that way my parents can visit, and I'll meet with these anal dweebs after the visit. All advice is welcome, please. Peace to you all, Mr. Flipper

Anyone remember this sappy song that went "you are a child of the universe, you have a right to be here...." Then Frank Zappa did a goof on that with "you are a fluke of the universe, you have no right to be here..." mrs flipper whose mind wanders

What was your perception of cults?
by brinjen inbefore you realised you were in one...... did you picture pale sickly people in robes who had all their members living in villages?
or was your 'mental picture' a little more "human?".
how does that image compare to now?.
-
flipper
Brinjen- I also used to think people in cults were obscure, strangely robed people running around chanting or drinking poison like Jim Jones group, or in America with David Koresh, just seemed like controlled people. Then 4 years ago started thinking, hey Jw's are all controlled!! Now they just freak me out when I see them doing street witnessing standing like statues with their magazines!.They don't even try talking to people, they're totally spaced out! Like under a spell or drugged. Glad I'm out. Peace, Mr. Flipper

Feral- We really can learn from imperfect, sinful, knowledgeable men and women, can't we? Nice knowing we can take care of ourselves. Nice not to browbeat others with a Bible or be browbeaten ourselves by a Bible!! Loosie- Believe me- God wants you to have pleasure and enjoy being happy!! He wouldn't hold your enjoyment of something natural against you! He told me last night in a dream!! Just joking!! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
