  Hey guys! Mr. flipper here! Thanks for all your responses. Great choices! You can even list honorable mentions if you like. Up to ten more is ok. I know how hard it's been for everybody to limit it to ten. So give me some more even if you've posted. Feel welcome!   My 20 year old JW brother is dating a 30 year old sister - should I worry?

  i just found out yesterday.

  i remember the girl from my 'past life' when she was still at school - she's nice, but i hear that she's been in a couple of relationships that didn't work out.

  thing is, the dub version of a 'courtship' that doesn't work out is when it doesn't end in marriage!

  Hello, Mr. Flipper here. Mrs. Flipper is 4 and a half years older than me at 52, but we have a lot in common. She is easygoing ,non witness, cool, and dosen't try to control me. But if your brother get's a jw woman, especially 10 years older, I can almost assure you she will be trying to control the relationship based on her alleged"experience" in life. My first marriage to my kids mom, she was a year and a half younger, and she tried to control me, her being a self righteous dub! Also, tell your brother, if he wants crazy ,nice, wild sex, a jw wife is not the way to go. I had 19 years of misery! Lesson to be learned

  i like the way many of u think.....anyways since early 90's when i was dfd i totally abandoned the society but left my great amazing son in it ....didnt speak to my family except my mom for about 14 yrs and as she always invited me to move back home rent free!

  in an empty house they visit from time to time.

  i kept thinking: well my dad is getting to be 71 now ..and even tho i still speak in secret to my son (he had to stop seeing me 2yrs ago) maybe ill bs my way back in and i can actually see my son again and reestablish family ties...since i had broken up with my girlfriend.

  my computer crashed, and i just got back online... it's been almost two weeks.

  the last thing i was typing was a response to a post where i had mistakenly said that an asian lady i was engaged to was 25 years my junior... what i meant to type was that she was 25 years old.

  so for the record, i have never been with a 15 year old; not yet anyway.... imagine how i felt when my computer crashed an i wasn't able to correct that record for two weeks.... oops!

  A time for war at the family reunion-this apostate don't take crap!

  i just finished another of my famous letters i send to many of my family members... i've been told that i shouldn't come to the family reunion becasue i'm an apostate.

  in my letter i stated that i in fact am going to be there stupid watchtower quotes in hand.

  the first family member that shuns me will hear me read off every stupid statement that they've ever made... i said that i'm also bringing my bible and that i want someone in the family to show me in it where it states that i don't have the right to question the dictates of men and by my so doing i should be shunned!.

  Nvr- Mr. Flipper here. I tend to lean bothways a bit. I think we have the freedom of choice . To make good choices, bad choices. I think our environment can shape the decisions we make, but I think it's possible for someone born into a loving family to turn out to be a terrorist too.It's within the individual how each one will let his or her mind be shaped. Human nature may control some inclinations, but a lot of good people have come from crappy upbringings from parents. I think it's a case of individually being an actualizing person, living in the here and now, trying to make a positive impact on people's lives that we can, and not trying to manipulate everything and anybody we deal with. Essentially, be real. Just weird psychobabble . I've read a few psychology books

  i was raised from birth as my family was in it 7 years before i was born ( 1952).

  i remember wanting to go out for school sports in high school as my p.e.

  Thanks everybody for your kind thoughts! We all sure have learned a lot! Hilanj- Glad to hear you survived and are going to college. Keep up the good work! ex-nj-jw- Isn't it weird that getting good grades wasn't that important to j-dub parents? I tip my hat to you that you went through nursing school & radiology school! Be proud of what you accomplished! mimimimi- I look at it like you. At least my son will get a better education than I did. My parents pushed me to progress in the alleged "truth" . But since I've told them, what good does any of that do to help you earn a living? They don't know how to respond. Keyser soze- I can relate with not doing sports and running into school kids out in service. It sucked. They'd ask me why I was wearing a tie? Changeling- Ditto, it sucked!! R.F.- I could never go to school basketball games or football games either, or other extra activities. Sandy- Glad to hear you went to community college. I think a lot of people felt lack of ambition like you because we were told armageddon was coming, so why bother? Bastards! Outlaw- Yeah, most of us were repressed. I would sneak away with my girlfriend somewhere to handle the pressure! Mrs. Jones- So glad you raised your kids non-witnesses. Animal- Yes it was limiting wasn't it? Sara Smiles- Glad you got an education! Jaguarbass- I know how you feel my friend. I'm 48, and know I'm gonna be cleaning toilets in my janitorial business till I'm 90 probably.Be glad you got out inyour 20's, I was 43 . But they told us armageddon was gonna bring an end to it and make things better. They lied. DJK- So sorry you felt suicidal at one time, glad you've recovered and moved on. Wizard- It was always hot at assemblies.I'd prefer a dentist chair to being raised a witness too.Dragonlady- Ditto my feelings too. BFD- Sorry your mom wanted you to be a martyr. They try to make us endure thinking we'll get rewarded. I have'nt seen a reward yet, have you? Agent Smith- Pretty cool you went ahead and had a birthday anyway.Even your parents weren't interested in your grades? What gives with these witness parents anyway? Darth Fader- My son feels as you did. He was baptized at 13 under pressure from his self righteous mother, then he got out at 18 and we are close. Worldly Andre- Glad you got out young. Didn't waste any more time! Rebels unite! Brinjen- Sorry you weren't able to live with your non-dub dad. I too got burned out dealing with self righteous people.   Dear Core, Mr. Flipper here. Mrs. Flipper wrote earlier. We want you to know we love you as a friend and even though we haven't met, lots of people on this board love you, really care. I have been out of the witnesses for 4 years and was able to help my son (22) get out and go to college. He's getting a good education now. You have a wonderful son who loves you and needs you his dad to help him grow up in life and see the truth outside the witnesses. He can't do that without you. He needs you to be there. Think about that my friend. Don't let the witnesses control your fate. There is a big, beautiful world still here for you. We are part of that, everybody on this site cares for you.   Corey, I hope you are here. What you are going through is absolutely horrible but you did have the strength to reach out. 16 years ago I was in a similar place - I know that at the time checking out seems to be the only logical thing to do, but what is telling you that is a sort of hallucination brought on by an overload of stress chemicals going through your brain, like you are being poisoned. Therapy and medication saved my life and I am so glad now. You are walking through the fire - just keep walking. love, flipper
