Mrs. Flipper is 52 and I think she looks better than all the women in their 20's I've seen. She is kinda a version of Calista Flockhart and Mariska Hartigay, just a little older. Mr. Flipper is very content and appreciative P.S. Most importantly she's cool and nice, smart too.

When will the knee jerk reactions stop?
by Bobbi ini answered my door yesterday and there was one of my neighbors.
he has a couple of boxes with him and says hi, just call me santa".
he had gotten some extra stuff from him work and thought we could use it ( cereal and granola bars) .

It takes time to get those witness thoughts out of your head. I've been out 4 years now and my knee jerks don't happen anymore. I vote, celebrate holidays without blinking, and do things normal people in the world do. It just will take some time away from it for you. Hang in there

Need LOGICAL PRESENTATION that FDS is BS- talk w/2 elders wanting to help
by AWAKE&WATCHING inmy best friend showed up where i work to see what's going on with me.
i haven't called her since she told an elder at my hall that i was falling out of the truth, little does she know i've fallen and i don't want to get up.. i told her i had now done my research and i absolutely don't believe it.
she said she didn't want to hear my apostate stuff.

Awake- I would use common sense with them and stay away from the bible. Stick to subjects you know are true, like the child molestation settlements, cocrete things which show that the society is a crock of $$hit. However if you have family in the org. you want to stay in touch with, choose your words carefully. Anything you say can or will be used against you in the elders judicial court of law

Wizard- Had a funny but sad experience with a buddy of mine in the heat in Sothern Calif. one day in service. My buddy was trying to impress this witness girl out in service with me and my then wife. Only problem was my friend didn't wear any anti persperant and he was smelling awfully bad. We had the windows down as our car had no air conditioning. Finally I said," Let's stop at Safeway. I need to pick up something." I invited the brother to go into the store with me incognito. I purchased him some deodorant and he was very thankful. He never got with the sister, but he was much cleaner and smelled nicer from then on

I would be careful and protect yourself just like purps says, however considering this person has two young children I would discreetly ask if she had read any news reports about the child molestation settlements and is she concerned about protecting her children? Ask her to ask her mother in law. Give her an ap news release so she sees it's just something you saw in the news, not an alleged apostate web site. Might make her think. But you might be more timid than me. Do what makes you comfortable

Ever been completely embarrassed by the householder in field service?
by fedorE ini recall i was in service with ken little, the canadian branch committee overseer, and he took the first door.
the magazines were talking about nuclear war and its impending disaster.
so ken little introduces himself and says "good morning sir,did you know that every minute they spend millions of dollars on the manufacturing of weapons......" the homeowner looks straight at him and says "yeah?

Yes I was. When I was about 25 me and another brother knocked on this door and you could see a stairway through the window. This lady about 30, and attractive comes down the stairway naked in nothing but her skin looks at us and shakes her hands and goes Ohhh!!!!. She turns around and runs back upstairs. I think she had been waiting for someone else. The brother with me asked," Hey Mr. Flipper , what do we do? " I said," Well this woman needs the good news too!" So I proceeded to knock again hoping to get another look. Thought maybe she'd put her clothes on a second chance, didn't know for sure though. Needless to say she didn't answer the door when we knocked again! Damn perverted young men!! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Just wanted to add that I felt the comic genius of Mel Brooks and Mike Meyers with his Austin Powers movies were really hilarious. Also, although they aren't really movies, Mrs. Flipper and I get off laughing at old Three Stooges episodes . I have many taped on vhs from years back, it's a good stress release at times to just sit back and laugh your a$$ off. Keep the movies comin' folks. Great selections so far. Wanna hear what makes you laugh your rear end off! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Did You See Brothers Use Politics to Reach Out For M/S or Elder Positions?
by flipper inhello folks.
valid question i believe.
in the early 80's 1979 to 1985 i was a m/s and stepped down after having 3 kids bang, bang, bang in late 20's.

Hello all wanted to respond to your takes. Thanks for the responses, very interesting takes.
YBEHERE- I know what you mean. Certain elders would cozy up to c.o.'s and when their boy would get assigned to another circuit they were out of luck for assembly parts. You sound like you were a just elder though, willing to stand up for what was right! Right on, more power to you.
STILLA- LOL I was only a ministerial servant for 6 years. Never got to be an elder. Can I have you over for dinner and "earn " my appointment ? I'm a good cook, Mrs. Flipper digs my cooking!
GREGOR- Nothing worse than a guy with a temper wanting to be an elder. Can't you just see him losing it with an obstinate publisher in a jc meeting ? You guys would have been breaking up fights constantly. Dude sounded like a pontificating a$$hole.
MINIMUS- Just like any business in corporate America, money will buy you favors . It certainly did this elder. Hope he and the co had a nice vacation!! Maybe they are mates now, who knows!
LESTARD- I agree with you that elders kids had an advantage . Some would take that and run with it, but it made me very uncomfortable. My dad was city overseer 30 years in one town and people were constantly coming up to me saying," Oh! Your so and sos son. We so think your family is great", and they'd almost fall over themselves doing an act of worship to me. It sickened me. I'd say I'm just a normal publisher no different than you, it was creepy being treated like that for the position my dad held and not based on anything I did or accomplished.
AMBER ROSE- I do empathize with what Drew went through. I was right there. I was told that had I kept up my spiritual pace in my late 20's I might have been appointed an elder, but like Drew I was not the suck up type or kiss up type either. It was for the best, I wouldn't have lasted in that position, would have got pissed off at other elders playing politics, too independent for it.
GREENDAWN- Yes, wasn't there a scripture that said," Foolishness has been put in many high positions" ? Certainly fits, don't ya think? Peace out, Mr. Flipper
