Do the Governing Body members do door-to-door field service?

those of you that have been around the gb members on a regular basis, do they actually do the door-to-door work themselves, or do they mainly count the talks they give as their field service time?

To my way of thinking and I could be wrong but I should imagine that the upper echelons will do what every other large corporations do and that is to have the bosses make an appearence on the shop floor, on the coal face, out in the field ,or if millitary on the front line every now and again to boost the morale of the troops.They then quickly clear off and go back to their comfort zones and think up ways of increasing production etcetra, not really caring too much about the well being of the rank and file trying to get as much out of people as cheaply as possible.

One of the first questions I asked before swallowing the bait was exactly your question .The reply was Bro. Knorr ,Franz,and the others all go out door to door Sunday mornings.Like an idiot I fell for it.Like they say there's one born every minute .Glad I swam to safety though before I was completely doomed to a life of religious futility.

Whenever I asked the brothers and sisters to explain the book Babylon The Great most didn't have a clue.Some said that because it was so deep they just went along with it trusting in the Society.One sister said to me when we first studied the book that the end is very near and I said, yes but we have to study it all over again

Another sister mentioned that we were going to see the end of this sytem of things very soon and I replied yes it looks as if the UN is on the short list.But she just looked at me with a puzzled expression on her face .If she is still alive bless her, I wonder if she still has that same look of bewilderment at the mention of that dreadful beast the United Nations standing in the wrong place at the wrong time.

August KM provides solid evidence of declining JW morale

as you may or may not recall, the february '07 km (for the us) had a huge article, taking up the full 4 page insert, on the "blessings" of auxiliary pioneering.

the part covering that insert took up the entire service meeting (aside form the announcements).

the "encouragement" was that the us branch had set a goal of 160,000 auxiliary pioneers for the month of april ("if only one of every 6 publishers signs up, we can make it!")..

Maybe it's a classic example of asking in the knowledge that they know they are not going to get that amount ,but they will ask anyway. With powerful corporations and in Kingdumb land the end justifies the means and by setting high targets the responsibility for failure falls back on the ordinary rank and file who are made to feel guilty that they are not doing enough, hence another appeal and target is always an option.

We might see it as a failure but the guys in control might be pleased with themselves it all depends on the income derived from their shenanigans .They do not count results in terms of benefit to others but in aquistion of money and property and keeping themselves comfortable in La La Land. Where else but in the Borg would the Rutherford offsprings get the occupational perks that they give themselves and without having to honestly explain the workings of their empire .

Who said religion is a snare and a racket?

These beasts look a little too horny for my liking and the harlot or as translated in the NWT of the bible as " high class hooker" looks as if she is a throw back to the fifties.It's time the art department gave her a make over.

So that's how Nathan Knorr viewed harlots ,and did he allow that image to be included as being gained from personal experience?

Hi Reneeisorym,

What has the evil Dracula and the evil Borg got in common:? Easy question.

They are both mortified by the crucifix and have a serious issue with blood.

I keep thinking of others .They have a problem with light and are both bats.They like to mesmerize their victims into submission.Can't think of any more just now.

I will say amen to that .

The symbol of the cross is unique in the fact that death by crucifixion was uniquely cruel especially when that person was totally innocent and lived his human existence in furtherance of eliminating mankinds suffering If Jesus had been killed by other methods such as the guillotine I am sure other objects would have come to be used as a reminder of the events.I would wear a picture of a wooden post,a blindfold and rifle if that was the execution method used by the Romans. Remember when the symbol of the cross came into existence most people couldn't read or write.

The Borg leadership miss the point completely .They are hardly experts at promoting a decent symbol -- A watchtower for goodness sake,a symbol of a prison camp if ever I saw one.

Personally I like the Celtic Cross but that's just my preferred choice because of it's roots as a christian sign.

I always follow with interest when you post because you always offer insight and meaning into conundrums.It is only through imaginitve thought that hidden truths may become apparent.What is imagination, ? you reach up to heaven for an idea and you bring it down to earth and put it to work.
