  Google earth adds Crises in Darfur, you must check this out

  anybody not yet familiar with google earth should try it, www.earth.google.com - offers maps and satellite images for complex or pinpointed regional searches.

  recently google have added satellite shots of sudan, where a mass genocide is taking place whilst we go to bed each night in our safe and sound environments (relatively).

  up to 300,000 people dead so far - why the hell doesn't blair or bush do something about this seeing as though they are so beset with helping other people (bs)... .

  Global warming will bring about extremes in weather....

  Actually it's the opposite... When the planet is in a warm phase... as it's often done throughout history...the weather is MUCH MORE STABLE...

  It's the Cool Phases...that bring on the harshest weather patterns.

  Then using God's great gifts, Satan created Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and Krispy Creme Donuts. And Satan said, "You want chocolate with that?"

  Satan then created chocolate cake and named it "Devil's Food."
  
  God then brought forth running shoes so that His children might lose those extra pounds. And Satan gave cable TV with a remote control so Man would not have to toil changing the channels. And Man and Woman laughed and cried before the flickering blue light and gained pounds.
  
  Then God brought forth the potato, naturally low in fat and brimming with nutrition. And Satan peeled off the healthful skin and sliced the starchy center into chips and deep-fried them. And Man gained pounds.
  
  God then gave lean beef so that Man might consume fewer calories and still satisfy his appetite. And Satan created McDonald's and its 99-cent double cheeseburger. Then said, "You want fries with that?" And Man replied, "Yes! And super size them!" And Satan said, "It is good."
  And Man went into cardiac arrest.
  
  God sighed and created quadruple bypass surgery.

  must be zoned for horses... i dont mind small towns, ranchers or grasslands.

  I moved here from Southern Cali 5 years ago... with the family....LOVE IT...LOVE IT... LOVE IT!!!

  It's small but not too small... LOTS of acreages... and ALL the amenities... Not to mention real estate is a steal and growth is terrific.

  It's gorgeous and we have 3 colleges in close proximity. We're only 35 minutes from Denver... 10 minutes from Fort Collins...

  Did I say I LOVE IT? hehehe...

  another international slate of scientists have released their findings regarding global climate change and human's effect on that (see the above link).. after the last major study released by several hundred scientists a few months ago, it does seem there is a serious concensus here among the leading thinkers and scientists on this issue.

  i know i've banged heads with a few who disagree with this, but it does seem as though that handful of folks who disagree with the science are looking more and more like deniers, as in holocaust deniers, moon landing deniers, etc.. in other words, out there on the lunatic fringe.. so, do you folks think it might be time to reconsider?.

  The Ocean... is by magnitude the largest absorber of CO2...

  The change in ocean currents... should worry any would be chicken littles more than CO2...

  As "they" could change everything as we know it... and there ain't a dang thing we can do about it...

  Lithium?

  recently one of my brothers was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder by a psychiatrist.

  this has hit me hard emotionally because out of the whole bunch we are the closest.

  i've always suspected something was up.

  Bi-polar is the easiest of the chronic mental illnesses to treat.

  That's debateable...

  However... I must say this... I have dealt with BiPolar and BiPolar2 (they're different and type 2 is less dramatic, but more dangerous)...with several sufferers and have done extensive research and I found one thing that is OFTEN overlooked...

  Most General Practicioners MIS-PRESCRIBE the meds for both. They OFTEN prescrip anti-depressants (ie. Zoloft, Prozac, Paxil, Wellbutrin, Lexapro, Effexor, Celexa etc...) THESE RARELY WORK and will EXACERBATE your symptoms by magnitude... (and can hasten and magnify suicidal tendencies)!!!

  You need to see a Psychiatrist or a Specialist... or you could really be doing yourself a disservice!

  The medicines used for BiPolar and BiPolar2 are different... aren't familiar to most ordinary MD's.
