  personal beliefs re: life after death...none since leaving JW.... You?

  i do not have a clue anymore.

  having just accepted my own mortality, what the hey does happen at death?

  i never thought about it before, because i did not have to.

  Even now after leaving the JW's, I still feel that the dead are conscious of nothing. But then again..down deep, I can't help but to wonder if our souls really do go to heaven or not? I look at my grandparents as an example. When living, they were absolute soul mates. They were lost without each other. I've always aspired to have a relationship like theirs. When my grandfather passed, and I witnessed the deep sorrow my grandmother had, and then when she passed, I can't help but to hope that they were reunited. It just doesn't seem like death is just the end for us???? I'm confused!?!?!?! So I guess I don't know what I believe!

  I finally spoke to my parents. Best thing I did.

  several month ago i finally got up the courage to speak to my parents about the reasons i left the borg.

  up until then things were brewing up inside me to the point where i thought i would explode in rage.. even though they were aware of the basic reasons they still had no idea about how angry i was.. friday afternoon i started by asking my mother that i would like to arrange a meeting between the 2 of them and my wife and i to discuss the 't'.

  i didn't want to get into detail at this stage because it would be unfair on just her without my elder dad being there.

  do you want me to leave my religion?

  That's the same response I had when I met with my Parents. I was like, well yeah...

  Then they told me that they know the society has made a lot of mistakes, but it is still the best way of life they know and the closest to the "truth" than any other religion teaches.

  At least as the JW's like to say "you planted a seed" of doubt with your parents.

  The wierdest thing happend to me at work today!!!!!

  i was at the front desk (can't tell you what i do, as i'm a fader).

  i get a call from a company that works closely with us.

  the lady says: "i have a client here that needs an_____, but he wants a jehovah's witness.".

  The opposite happens to me in my business, even though I'm df'd, if a JW wants one of my services, they have no problem speaking with me. Any other time, outside of my office, they act as if they don't see me or don't know me.

  Will automotive GPS systems make field service easier ?

  my cousin told me that they are now using gps for field service.

  does anyone know if they can store more info on people and use them for the wrong reasons?

  As JK called it the "dumb dumb" (LOL), it would help them find the closest restaurants to take their breaks. Help them track down all those laundry mats as well.

  come to find out, it is from evidently who has been signed up on the board for over a year but has never posted.

  this guy used to be an old boss of mine from way back when - i'd say around 12 years ago or so.

  They screwed up my dogs treatment!

  i posted way back in september that my dog had two bad cancers in her mouth.

  we took her into the ontario vet college for available treatment options.

  this is a world class, top notch veterinary teaching college.

  I'm so sorry about your baby. I hope all turns out well for him. My little pomeranian has something that has come up on his back, and I'm sick on my stomach over it. I love my baby boy, so I know how you feel. My baby has a vet appt tomorrow.

  my first christmas tree, real or fake?

  I would go with the artificial pre-lit tree. It is easier to set up and doesn't make near the mess. Real tree's pose a fire hazard. My mother-in-law's home burnt down two years ago the day after christmas from her real tree. The first real tree she ever had!!

  For the smell, I get the candles that make the room smell like it is a real tree, if you are into scents.
