Own up time...
by Chalam inwell it looks like this site is a real melting pot, a broad spectrum of views and beliefs.
for sure there are many disaffected ex jws.
so in as few words as possible, preferably not more than one sentence, how would you describe yourself spiritually?

"religioned out"
I'll second that!!!! Have no desire to be part of any religion. I just view myself as being spiritual verses religious.

Throwing a big party at my place complete with a backyard bonfire, a couple of pony kegs of some good local microbrews, a case of bubbly, chips, dips, chains, whips, etc.
Hey Low-Key, I knew you were a southern boy at heart!! We love having this parties on our land and getting out the four-wheelers. Won't be able to do it tonight since hubby has to work.. I just plan on spending the evening with my son and take him to see the fireworks.

Are Any Here Afraid of "Getting Caught" Doing Something "Wrong" By a JW?
by minimus indo you still look over your shoulder to see if some jw might "report" you to the elders for doing something inappropriate by witness standards??
?

I'm df'd so don't care what JW sees what I do....
When your df'd and run into JW's they stare at you anyway like you're some supernatural being or something... SO....you might as well do something to make their stares worth while...

Finally got asked "THE Question"
by TweetieBird ini don't post too often here but have been coming here for a few years now.
i have been successfully fading for the past 10 years (so i thought) but went to visit jw family members last week and the matriarch of the family asked us if we still believed it was jehovah's organization.
after avoiding a direct answer and trying to skirt the issue for a while, finally the hubby said, "no, we don't believe it's jehovah's organization".

Heh, did she have a doiley on her head, when she said that? If not, then she stands to be reproved for stepping out of her subordinate position in god's org. Apostle paul would not be amused.
LOL....so true!!
At least now it's all out in the open and I'm sure you do have the sense of freedom now.
Wish you the best in the coming year....

With stress and traumatic issues, the medication itself can lead to memory loss. Having 8 rounds of chemo in '06 it completely fried my brain! It is so frustrating not be able to remember things!! Not only can I not remember things like I used to, but I also find it hard to concentrate and focus on things. It has has gotten some better this year, but still makes me ill...
