  Question of the Day: Why are so very few of Jesus ACTUAL WORDS...

  why are so very few of jesus actual words recorded exactly?.

  the new testament is almost entirely written in greek.. jesus spoke aramaic.

  maybe a bit of what was called "market greek".

  This is worth a bump .

  Isn`t it stated somewhere in Scripture , if all of Jesus sayings were written down , the world wouldn`t be able to contain them ? , or some such statement alluding to that ?

  The actual sayings attributed to Jesus in the Christian Greek Scriptures would not even fill one of the Bible books attributed to the New Testament.

  Jesus obviously did not think his sayings were worth recording for all mankind , because he never wrote anything down himself ,unlike Moses ,who Jesus was supposed to be a greater prophet of.

  Jesus apparently said a great deal to the Jews of his day without having most of it recorded by himself or anybody else for future generations.

  So obviously he did not think whatever he said , was worth while for future generations to know about , only applicable to the Jews of his day.

  i heard this one first in 1957. i was 6. my mother had just converted.

  i heard it many times after that.

  Not only that my wife and I would never grow old , but our children would never go to high school .

  My wife and I are in our 70`s , and not only did our children go to high school ,they married and had children of their own ,who also have gone through high school , and married and had children.

  And the WTB&TS today , takes no responsibility for "Witnesses" who took them at their word and never had children .

  Is it me or were the experiences at the assemblies really contrived?

  my favorite were the ones where they were reading a wt publication in the break room at work, and an inquisitive co-worker, thirsty for spiritual knowledge approaches them.

  this leads to an informal witness, which eventually leads to bible study and baptism.. in all my years of working, i've never had anyone show the slightest bit of interest in what i was reading while i was on my break at work.

  but as i said, maybe it's just me..

  However dumbass me was converted by a co-worker.

  So Today Was My Wife's First Ever Birthday Party

  she turned one today, and 36 earlier this week.

  we planned a big party, big for two people that have never thrown a party before.

  we rented a church fellowship hall because 1. it was nice and big and affordable and 2. it was kind of awesome to throw a party in a place we would have never ventured in our previous life.

  recently one member after viewing the video material was triggered into climbing a bridge in australia and screaming about the ‘great tribulation” coming at any minute.

  I would like to know what the general public`s view on this video is if it could be put out their somehow.

  I would like to see journalists of Radio , TV , and print media , take on this subject and see what the publlc`s view of this video is.

  Children are in attendance at every Jehovah`s Witness Meetings , as they don`t believe in separating them from the adults in worship.

  And this includes subjects that are sometimes not suitable for young ears.
