Blood Transfusions are Biblically Supported
by allpoweredup into jehovah's witnesses elders: blood transfusions are biblically supported: acts 15:20 says abstain from blood but 1 samuel 14:32-5 says saul's army ate unbled meat to not starve and no verses show god not forgiving them.
christ says god also forgave david's eating temple holy bread to survive and that god wants mercy not sacrifice.
(mt 12) the may 22, 1994 awake tells of 26 jehovah's witness kids who died without transfusions, and by common sense in massive bleeding as in car wrecks blood expanders won't save lives http://www.ajwrb.org.

Watch out where you tread
by LevelThePlayingField ini remember like it was yesterday.
my dad pounding his fist on the kitchen table and gritting his teeth as he tells me to get out!
he kicked me out of his house.

LTPF ,I wouldnt be too hard on myself if i were you.Sadly your father probably over reacted as well and kicking you out was a bit extreme on his part. However I dont judge him for his actions not knowing his background or culture.
No doubt it was a real shock to him your becoming a JW. { and being a pain in the ass trying to witness to him LOL }
I`m sorry to hear that you were never able to reconcile your differences with your dad before he died.
I`m sure their are others here who can benefit from your experience .
Take care.

Feel like I've failed
by Mr Negative ini need to get this off my chest, as i don't have many people to talk to about it who would understand.. i feel like i've failed my family, as not only have i been unable to get my parents and brother to see sense regarding the cult, but now my sister, who never got baptised but managed to escape twenty years ago, is now seriously considering going back for various "emotional" reasons, and i know that she won't listen to me.. i know they have all made their own decisions (at least, to the extent that brainwashed people can make their own decisions), and i can't really blame myself (even though i was the one who, when only ten years old, convinced my mum to listen to the poor lady on the doorstep out of politeness rather than just shut the door on her - so it is all indirectly my fault), but it still feels like i've failed them..

All people need to take responsability for their own actions whether negative or positive.
As individuals we may have given advice to someone that may or may not have taken up that advice by the person we gave it to.
We cannot be held responsabile for the decision that peson takes it is upon their own head for ,their decision.
Mr Negative you have no reason to feel guilty ,the onus rests on the person making their own decision as to what road they will take.and they will have to wear it alone.

Set the record straight!
by Colinconfused ini would like to state publicly, on this forum, i no longer hold the views i had a year ago.. with much thought, research, study and logical examination i have come to a better understanding of my beliefs and where i stand on all these issues.. i'm very happy to announce i have returned to healthful teaching of the holy scriptures and i firmly believe that the governing body of jehovah's witnesses is the faithful slave.. sorry if i have contibuted to any kind of stumbling and know that if i can turn things around then there's hope for all who come to there sence.. phill4:6,7.

Do You Think Jehovah's Witnesses Are Typically Ignorant People?
by minimus ini think most witnesses are simple minded.many are ignorant.
there are a lot of basically "good people "in the religion but i believe many are kind of dumb, including many elders.
do you agree with my thoughts??

Just to clarify , I was a convert at 19 years of age naive ,gullible and ignorant ,otherwise I would not have become a JW and stayed for the next 33 years before the penny finally dropped.

JW`s Lie about Christendom hiding the Name Jehovah.or its equivalent Yahweh
by smiddy injehovahs witnesses have been outspoken over the years/decades that christendom have been hiding or obscuring or even eliminating gods name jehovah from the general public.. how true is that statement .?.
1. it was a catholic monk of the 13th century that first coined the name jehovah in the english language.. 2.the roman catholic douay version of the bible does have the name jehovah in it.
about the 16th century.

Thanks for that Earnest.
Its interesting to check out Catholic Churches around the world that have the name Jehovah either in artwork or engraved in stone on their buildings including the Vatican.

Last nights CLAM meeting
by dbq407 inso hadn't been to a clam meeting in quite a few months, but went last night.
so we learned that gog of magog is not satan as previously believed.
they used a few scriptures that made it clear that it couldn't be satan and that it would be a coalition of nations.

It took the ruling King Jesus Christ 103 years to make that plain to the Governing body ?
He should be sacked by Jehovah. as incompetent

Question...
by ironsnake656 inwhen you were an active member in the jwland, did you expect to receive any kind of help from a brother/sister, but they did not help you?
when i was in the jwland, i expected and was my belief that any brother/sister will help you in time of need, distress or trouble, because we were part of a "lovely organization".
but countless of times when i needed and asked for help, nobody from the org helped me.

You will be expected to go to Govt.agencies ,charities run by church groups, etc, all of whom they claim are run by the "god of this system of things" Satan the Devil.
Dont expect any help from the multi-million dollar publishing-real estate empire of Jehovahs Witnesses.

Escaping from the YHWH/JESUS prison
by fulltimestudent ina poster recently inferred that i was never a jw, but was only on this site to spread a 'political' dogma.
not true!.
anyway, cleaning up some old files this morning, i found an old 'story of life' post that i made (i think) on another xjw site.

Jesus never gave us any thing in writing ? Why not ?
If he was to be the King of the Jews of the first century and the King of the thousand year reign of christ leading into the paradise Earth that JW`s preach surely we should have had first hand from Jesus own mouth what he said ?
Sorry nothing to see here Zilch
,We do not have the words of Jesus to corroborate anything that is attributed to him by any other source.
The law of Christ ? Everything that is attributed to jesus sayings are second or third hand he never wrote down anything.Whatever Jesus supposedly said is whatever a second or third party claims he said. Its a big stretch of the imagination to claim it is the Law of Christ.
Moses on the other hand provided the Ten Commandments was an eyewitness and wrote down his experiences
