  my wife & i received a memorial invitation a couple of days before the event,from my neice.her mother who is no longer associated was also given an invitation.

  her grandmother who was never associated with witnesses was never given an invitation.

  the witness has little contact with her mother unless she want`s something eg.mind the kids while she does her own thing .

  i have just been looking at the news regarding the bushfires in victoria (aus.

  ) and the generosity of people is astounding.money in the millions of dollars has been donated with many more programs and benefits still underway.small businesses have donated their goods and services at no cost to the recipients,and individuals have poured in releif beyond beleif to the unfortunate victims.the bulk, at this time is probably going to the bushfire victims ,but we also now have victims of floods in the northern nsw and parts of qld.who also require aid and which is being addressed.

  my point here is these people who give out of their generosity is not governed by their allegiance to a certain creed or beleif system,they give indiscrimanately to all in need ,regardless of political or religous persuasion.

  thought you might like to know the situation in aussie land.

  bushfires raging in victoria have claimed the lives of at least 35 people so far and the toll is expected to rise in the 40`s.yesterdays temp.rose to 46.4 cent.

  (115 f ) more than 85 towns were under threat and dozens of homes lost with a terrible loss of livestock and wildlife.. in the northern part of the country qld.

  apparently serena`s heart tattoo wasn`t supposed to be seen (the nape of her neck ) i wonder if she has any more hidden elsewhere ?

  i`ve always suspected the williams sisters didn`t really have a clue about what their religion teaches lev.19:28 either it`s the religion of their parents,or it`s cool to be different and stand out among your peers,a fad etc.some of the comments made by them exposes their ignorance.. smiddy.

  how do you know that this information is true and correct?

  the organization will label these sites as apostates or liars in what they say , how do you distinguish the truth ?

  sport vs religion

  it came to me while i`m watching afl today ( ozzie football ), back in the 60`s / 70`s during the football season many bro`s elders and ms plus the r&f would have transistor radios glued to their ears listening to the commentary of the main game with one ear and the other taking in the scheduled program.

  of the district assembly .was this just an ozzie experince ?

  or did it happen in europe (soccer ) & usa (baseball / gridiron ) i know i did sneak out to a pub to watch the grand final one year then came back for the final program a little guilty.

  Jesus temptations

  i have a few questions regarding the temptations of christ.in my association with the jw`s(33yrs) i remember the wbts commenting on the disfellowshiping of bros.&sisters was primarily of a sexuall nature.

  (that was b4 the net ,now maybe it`s apostasy) so my question is why would satan tempt jesus with things he already had or would be given in the future(he could perform miracles and he would rule over the nations in the future,and in the case of the christian congregation almost immediately)if it was so successfull to use sex as a way of bringing gods people undone since adam (he might have lost his dues if he didn`t follow his wifes lead)samson is another one,and of course let`s not forget about king david,to name a few.wouldn`t it be more in line with satans schemes to use a beautiful woman to tempt jesus ?according to the wb&ts it`s been tremendously successfull with modern day jw`s and let`s face it jesus was a man for christ`s sake.what are your comments,thoughts about this subject.is that an unreasonable question to ask?

  JW`s and the "NAME"Jehovah

  when the "aid to bible understanding"first came out their was a lot written as to why jw`s settled on the name jehovah.i found it curious,they leant heavily on the acceptance of biblical scholars common usage of the name".it was the most widely accepted form in common use by christendom".on the one hand they claim christendom is the anti-christ,the whole world outside jw`s is under the control of satan the devil,and yet they quote these sources to back up their use of jehovah in spite of the fact,the same "aid" book admitted that yaweh was more nearer the correct pronunciation.at the time i thought that was curious.also that first printing of the "aid" book had no reference to "elders"and yet it was only a few months later that the elder arrangement came into force.divine inspiration ?

  i dont think so!
