Sorry, I can't help myself........
It is GRAMMAR!
And CAPITAL letters.
to all those people out there who keep referring to the noble name as "micheal", desist, i say!.
it's not "micheal", it's "michael"!.
meaning: he who is, or like, god.
Sorry, I can't help myself........

I think the first gig I ever saw was Terrorvision at the Manchester Academy. Since then,
Megadeth, Motorhead, Joe Satriani, Sheryl Crow, Terrorvision, No Doubt, Blondie, Kirsty McColl (sadly missed), Cocteau Twins at T in the Park, Terrorvision, and most recently
Suzanne Vega, on Sunday afternoon, In Liverpool. Wonderful.
And lots of bands at T in the Park. And Pulp at a festival in Warrington - can't remember what it was called.............
maybe i'm just lucky, but my new husband who has never even been to church treats me better than my first husband who was raised a jw.
my first husband was an alcoholic who had no respect for women.
i suffered with a lot of verbal and emotional abuse.if i wasn't in a romantic mood, then there was something wrong with me.
Me Too!
My husband has no interest in religion at all. He treats me with love, respect and kindness.
My JW ex-husband was an emotional cripple, and psychotically tightfisted to boot!
.
at heathrow airport today, an individual, (later identified as a public school teacher) was arrested trying to board a flight to paris whilst in the possession of a compass, a protractor and a graphical calculator.. authorities believe he is a member of the notorious al-gebra movement.. he is being charged with carrying weapons of maths instruction.. cheeses - passing on a bit silliness.
Guffaw!
Reminds me of the one about the constipated mathematician who tried to work it out with a pencil.........
as ex-dubs we are free to read whatever the hell we want to read.
in celebration of that fact (and to give me some ideas on what to read next .

You could check out this:

Kate Atkinson and Margaret Atwood aren't in the list so its obviously a travesty. I have read 27 out of the hundred - a lot of my 27 are the childrens titles! I suspect that a lot of the nominations were on "worthiness" rather than an enjoyable read, but there's food for thought.

I am not currently reading them, but I thoroughly enjoyed
Behind the Scenes at the Museum
Human Croquet
Emotionally Weird
all by Kate Atkinson
Anything by Margaret Atwood is also a good bet, IMNSHO. I don't mean a book titled Anything, I mean anything she has written.
i'm sure this has been posted before but i really enjoyed it.. http://www.digitalronin.f2s.com/politicalcompass/questionnaire.pl?page=1.
i think like the dalai lama...lol!
economic left/right: -3.62. authoritarian/libertarian: -5.33.
I am Economic left/right -4.00, Authoritarian/libertarian -6.15
I think the answers so far are very interesting. The trend is definately towards lefty libertarians! I wonder why. There doesn't seem to be many mainstream political parties that reflect these values. I wonder what score Tony Blair, Charles Kennedy and IDS would get on this test. I suspect that peoples policy decisions do not actually reflect their core values as measured in this test.
for observers of jws on and off the internet, its no secret that certain jw doctrines are in trouble.
by this i dont mean to imply that these doctrines are subject to any imminent modification or reversal and i dont necessarily even mean to imply that these doctrines are wrong, although in some instances, i believe both to be the case.
what i mean by the phrase in trouble is that the information published by the jw parent organizations and currently available to jws today is completely inadequate even when it comes to responding to a polite level of inquiry from the average intelligent individual.
Excellent post!
To clarify, are "Neo-Apologists" opposed to the current ambivalence of the WT blood policy regarding blood fractions and hemopure, or do they basically defend whatever the "present light" from Brooklyn is?
Where do you think the official policy is heading?
i bet the people in the twin towers never thought they would be the victims of a terrorist attack.
sometimes the stuff that happens overseas seem so far away.
i look around my community and find it hard to believe that anything is going to happen here.. i live in southern califonia, near san diego, and who knows?
I live in Warrington. I have not been personally affected by the terrorism unleashed in Manchester and Warrington. I hope we won't experience anything like that again.
Some of the money comes from here:
how is it seen if a single adult brother sits right next to a single adult sister at the kingdom hall?
rumours get going, right?
one thing i never liked in the jw's was that you just couldn't be good friends with people of the other sex.
Obviously, when you are the happy owner of a "Bible-Trained Concience(TM)", you are incapable of being within 1 yard of any member of the opposite sex without being consumed with lust and Commiting Fornication(TM).
