  His first act as an apostate is to setup "JW Survey" as an information gathering exercise on the backgrounds, thoughts, and activities of the exJW community. (Let's be fair, no actual JW ever filled out his questionnaire.) What was the real point of creating this database? Just asking questions ...

  Those chats seemed authentic enough. If they are fiction someone was a very good writer.
  
  So UK congregations know about this but he is allowed to flee the country and resume congregation activities in Croatia? The Croatian congregations know about this but he is allowed to be a JW? The branch offices have full knowledge of this the whole time he rises to become the most (in)famous Internet apostate? All the while he is able to enter Bethel properties and make videos? All this while he is being leaked extremely sensitive internal information from WT insiders, leaked video of Morris buying scotch, etc. as a trusted source?
  
  This whole situation reeks and seems extremely fishy. As bad as all this seems, I don't feel like we know half of what is really going on behind the scenes.
  

  JLE said a lot about the WT but there were some subjects even he wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole. Certain controversies that he dismissed as baseless. Makes me think ...

  Old exJW from the Robert King days.

  I lost personal interest in Lloyd when his videos increasingly turned toward atheist evangelism. I did continue to visit his channel when there was a new scoop or leaked video and occasionally tipped him. Along the way, I started to question how he was gaining access to these secret Watchtower videos. Who on the inside was his contact? Why did they risk it all and choose him to get the word out? How were they never caught? The whole situation surrounding him and his WT connections seemed rather suspect.

  Does anyone have any information regarding the leakers and their connection to Evans?

  I'm not aware of any published fiction by Jehovah's Witnesses. As a JW I remember some poorly written short stories that circulated about the new earth.

  If you interested in fiction written by mentally-diseased apostates, I have a novel called Paradise Earth: Day Zero. It deals with the end-of-the-world filtered through JW beliefs.

  I've also written a JW romance, Happiness, Next Exit. I don't have word from the publisher on a release date, but it will be this year.

  Does anyone know if Jane pursued this or remained a Witness. I'm assuming that she is still in because the two appear together in press junket photos for the film Big Eyes. Then again maybe Hollywood is necessary family business.

  Not bitter. Came out with my faith in God better than before and a real belief in Jesus, in spite of the religion. Lost family and some friends. Oh well. Life in freedom with Jesus is far more real and fulfilling.

  at this point in my life there is too much at stake.

  first, my own emotional estate, ill hate to bitterly regret the years expend taking unnecessary emotional abuse and theocratic bulling.

  I was in the same situation as you...well, I was never an elder but I felt like I could help people while I was there. And I did the best I could. But when a JW would say something that I didn't agree with, I would've been wrong to just say nothing in order to preserve "peace". That isn't loving to let them believe a lie, about you, about God or Jesus, about the religion. In order to be like Jesus, we have to do our very best to stand up for truth. I believe that you are in a good place spiritually. I don't expect you to leave this moment. I know it will happen when it needs to. I'm only giving you a different view about it, like other people here have different suggestions.

  Ultimately, you have to have love, speak the truth no matter how painful, and glorify God in everything you do.

  When you do leave, go out in a blaze of God's glory.

  tjlibre, you have a lot of God in you. What I have read shows it and your honesty. I have two main peices of advice.

  1. Learn about Jesus. The WTS doesn't give Jesus the attention he deserves. Without Jesus, it is absolutely pointless. He IS the only way to God.

  2. Never compromise God, your faith, the truth, or love. Like you said about what if someone says how much the GB has done for you, will you shake your head yes or will you stand up for God. Jesus only stood up for God, not for himself when he was attacked, but for God. You know the truth and it would be wrong not to preach it from the rooftops. Don't hide the light under a basket.

  You are not a captive. Who is your master? If you are their captive, they are your master and you know that isn't true. Captive means slave....you are not their slave. You have a choice. Captives don't have a choice. So don't believe that. Sure it makes you feel better about staying but it isn't true. It's like saying they won and they haven't. God has.

  You can't stay. You know it's false. Jesus never compromised. It would be worse for you to stay because you know the real truth, than it is for the GB to lie, because they don't know the truth. Compromising is turning your back on God. You will start to lose the feeling of Him being there if you continue to compromise Him. Be very careful. God has already told you what to do, but it's hard for your flesh to do it. Leave and do it with boldness, compassion, peace, and love. Like Jesus did. Did Jesus want to leave his mother? His followers? No way. But he told us to leave our family to follow him. I hope your wife will stay with you and learn the truth. But you cannot stay because of your love for her. You must leave because your love for your Father is greater. "And all these other things will be added to you".
