nvr ... I can't speak for the elders. I'm sure they will see it much as I do.
I think the reason for the subject being addressed is that there are some sites owned and operated by JWs, where they have deep studies and discussions on the internet. Their conclusions may or may not coincide with proper scriptural doctrine.
No one is saying they have to stop their activity. The society, however, cannot endorse their findings.

nvr ... guess technically I'm no lurker but want to reply to your post about the Question Box.
The organization is not telling anyone not to do serious study or research.
The organization is not endorsing their findings.

For Christians: Grace vs. Forgiveness
by AuldSoul ini have been trying to sort this out scripturally, and would like to get input from christians on how these two concepts differ and/or overlap.
please be liberal with scriptures to support statements.
i think there may be others who are trying to figure this out for themselves, too.

Big Tex
If one believes grace (undeserved kindness) is for everyone but oneself ... that person would have to figure out what terrible wrong they did not to deserve this kindness. The only thing I can think of is 'sinning against the Holy Spirit'.
One makes oneself believe by relying on prayer. There is no other way. It is the intimate relationship with God that exceeds all other ways. One then has to act on their belief also.

Does anyone here know how to find a good hair dresser?
by restrangled ini am going nuts!
as many of you may remember i had a really bad hair cut and highlighting session that has kept me in misery for at least 60 days.
i now have 2 inches of dishwater blond hair at the top, highly bleached blond in the middle, and that orangey gold at the base.

Before you colour it ... take some before pictures ... then some afters. It would be nice to see the difference.

If you have time to spend on the island, by all means take your car. Visit the Cathedral gardens and check out the cedar trees ... unbelievable!!! If you have time go up to Tofino (sp) and do some whale watching. There is no more picturesque scenery in the world!

Adam and Eve had free will and chose to sin ... becoming unrighteous.
You liberaly use the word 'grace'. Do you actually mean 'undeserved kindness'? And if so, why not use the words 'undeserved kindness'?
We do not earn salvation .. it is a gift but as you know 'faith without works is dead.'
Actually ... Terry's demonstration was cute ... credit where credit is due. If one does not believe in the Bible I can see where they would feel this way.

You can ask someone where they get their hair done ... but we all have very different hair, likes and dislikes. What suits one can be disasterous to the next person. For a good cut that suits the person, it amounts to trial and error. Take a photo of a cut you like and ask for them to copy it. Men do seem to cut women's hair the best.

Get a L'orelle (sp) hair colour package at the drug store. Get the colour one shade darker than the darkest colour on your head. It will give one consistant colour. This product will do no more damage and may even restore some damage done till it grows out enough to cut it all off. The kits sold in stores will cause less damage than most hair dressers and are a lot cheaper. The streaking kits are great! Wait till you have natural hair again before using a streaking kit ... best if you have a friend help too. Been there .. done that.
