  dear friends,.

  much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.

  however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

  Evening/morning/afternoon everyone!

  Just a quick post as it's nearly 1:30am here and I have work tomorrow...

  So sorry to hear of your fish Crumpet, it's hard to lose someone you love, pets are no exception no matter how small they are. I used to keep pet mice, I stopped as I found it too difficult to cope with the constant deaths, they only live for around 18 months and it was just too heart breaking to get attached to them and then lose them.

  Job is going well so far, just training at the moment. Not used to getting so many breaks! Eight hour shift and 2 fifteen min & 45 min for lunch! My last job you could do a 10 hour shift with only 1 ten min and half hour for lunch! On top of that, we finish an hour early on Fridays! I could get used to this!

  Well, I'd better get some sleep, amazing, it's Monday tomorrow and I'm not dreading it, just realised that. Enjoy your day off CoCo!

  Let's make JW-friendly greeting cards...

  did you ever think about the fact that when you were a dub, it was pointless to buy a box of all occasion greeting cards?

  it annoyed the heck out of me, because you couldn't use the ones for birthdays or most of the sympathy cards (because they often said "lord" or "god" in them).

  so what would a box of jw greeting cards contain?.

  you get annoyed when one of your threads peters out...or you make a comment on someone elses thread and it goes unacknowledged....but isnt it great when an old thread you'd forgotten about gets ressurected

  Mental Illness - diagnosed for me

  i've long known, and most of you probably have as well, that there was something not all there with me.

  mostly i put it down to me being bad.

  I don't know a lot about this illness, but I do know it is an illness, not a mental condition. So there, you're not nuts (no more than the rest of us anyway )

  One day at a time dear, that's about all I can think of that hasn't already been posted. I was once given that advice myself, never worry about the pace you are moving at, just make sure you are going forwards, it all adds up in the end.

  You'll see, it will get better, promise.

  Do witnesses visit loved ones grave sites?

  curious about that one.

  were visiting my wifes family in new orleans this week, and she brought up going see her relatives graves.

  if they do how does the experience differ from a non-witness.

  In 3 decades as a witness i have never seen one visiting the dead.

  They just don't have time, they need to knock on doors and save lives.
