  Calling all Aussies and Kiwis

  if u don't mind saying if u r kiwi or aussie, and basic info like m/f, how long in, how long out, or if fading like me.. im female i live in aussie but born in nz fading the last few months.

  know it ain't the truth, but am married with little kids and closest family and friends all in.

  trying the slow fade and hoping my husband will do the same... being very gentle with him... .

  it's a shame this is only in the study edition, so the general public can't see how normal and down-to-earth the witnesses are in how they perceive themselves.... .

  Slightly off topic but I gotta say how much it sickens me how they always portray people with perfect skin and not a hair out of place. Very bland and unrealistic.

  Man In India Facing Jail Time For Debunking a So Called 'Miracle'

  so this statue of jesus appears to be weeping which brings in the flock.

  parishiners begin collecting it and distrubuting the water as 'holy water' and people drink it in hope it may cure then of their ailments.

  man investigates and discovers it is actually coming from a leaking sewerage pipe.. in exchange for telling this, he is now being charged with blasphemy... for intruding on the church's right to believe that it's holy water... gimme a break.

  mother rejects her son

  had a phone call from my son today.... he rang his jw mother to give her some news and found out the school his little half siblings go to was having an end of year play.

  he was pretty excited apparently and asked if he could come along and this is how it went.... "no, it is for family.

  for our family not for children who never speak or visit us.".

  They really have no clue as to what love is. Their old line of 'no one can truly love you unless they love Jehovah first'. Face it, he's the only one who's allowed to be shown any unconditional love... in fact, he demands it.

  For everyone else, they can never be more important than 2nd place... and that's only when Jehovah () permits it.

  some still act like jws but others have shown recovery and progress from the witness mentality..

  I think I've grown a lot in the 5 years plus since joining here. The place has certainly broadened my perspective on many issues... not just those concerning God or religion but life in general. This board did help give me the freedom to look back on many events in my past and give mysef closure on the many painful points. I think I'm much more grounded nowadays and focused on what I want out of life and what I need to do to make that happen.

  Stronger Christian presence on JWN?

  i've only been a member here for a short time, but it seems like there are more christians on the board lately.

  for the first few months that i was on jwn, it appeared that there were very few that argued in favor of a creator and belief in the bible in particular.

  there seems to be several more that have recently joined...or at least posted more regularly regarding belief.

  Variety is the spice of life as the saying goes and one of the things I love about this board is the variance in our beliefs. We're one huge, disfunctional family that can debate and argue on one thread, while at the same time have a friendly chat and share a joke or two on another.
