How do you get the animated emoticons to work here? I had tried it before and they didn't show up.

I just use my photobucket account (http://photobucket.com), google search for emoticons, (a good one http://www.tech-faq.com/emoticons/animated-emoticons/emoticons.shtml) save it to your hard drive, upload it to photobucket then paste the url link to here

from a logical point....i notice that in these threads that there are few here who dont believe in god..but i hate to tell you your dead wrong for having such an ignorant belief like that..instead ya,ll are blaming religion, people, and your personal problems for your lack of faith in god..thats dead wrong.

the non-believers are not looking at the whole picture..just the present..the things that go on in the world happen for a reason and it doesnt mean god doesnt exist.

So what you are saying is that, because it exists, the universe must have had a creator. By that logic, one then must ask: Who created the creator?
If you say the creator did not need a creator, then why not just remove that extra layer and just say the universe didn't need a creator?

My thoughts exactly Elsewhere! One of the most simple of arguments, and one I am yet to hear an even remotely viable explanation for. How can anyone use the argument that "life cannot exist without previous life" when they themselves are claiming the most complex form of "life" just came about by itself? These things are evident about how satan thinks...immorality, unthankful, proud, lack of good will toward others. Most people think the devil is a joke but they are dead wrong..and his favorite method is getting people to believe he is a myth. The bible says the god of this world has blinded the minds of those who dont believe..that "god" is Satan. Look how materialistic the world is and how people only concern themselves about having fun that day never thinking about the future. The bible warns just like the days of Noah so is the son of man will be..Jehovah's Witnesses are just on the wrong field and being mislead by a false religious system.

Volunteers needed to pick up bodies of dead

ok, so there was an article looking for volunteers to pick up the bodies of the dead after a disaster such as katrina or 9-11. my first thought was that jws ought to volunteer for this and get the training.

.it is their goal in life to pick up bodies (preferably after they have been picked over by carrion), and it seems like a fitting way to properly train for their future occupation.

just think-they could save jehovah all kinds of time with their more efficient and capable cleansing of the earth of the wicked.

Since it seems some of you believed in God at one time its down right foolish and ignorant not to because a "Religion" duped you.

Huh? Sounds like an ASSumption to me. I don't believe in God because I have looked at the big picture and I don't see where he fits. Don't assume those of us here became athiests because of our experience with the WTBTS, that is simply not true. You do believe in God, good for you, you're entitled to believe whatever you like. I'm just being me.

i was just reading some of my old diaries and wanted to share it particularly for anyone who feels despair, who is locked into the society through family and especially for any young lurkers still in.

i wrote this shortly after i turned 15. comments in brackets are my own to clarify.. tuesday 1st may 1990. you know i frequently wish that there was some arrangement whereby you could go to sleep and never have to go through the trouble of waking up.

i dont believe one can ever actually be truly happy.

Just Saw The Simpsons Movie!!

it opened today in oz, went to the 6:30 screening just after work.... was ok i guess, not what i was expecting, rather boring actually....

not!!!.
