I read one that was two part. First was an actual dub's account on what they think it will be like (skipping merrily over the dead bodies etc), the second part is one very similar to this. Still trying to find it again This one's pretty good

The warm and fuzzy, snuggly, cuddly thread.
by nicolaou inokay i felt a bit sick typing out that title but having been a wee bit 'prickly' in my last few threads i thought i might try this on for size - not sure how well it's going to suit me.. what makes you feel content?
at peace and restful?.
i just spent the last couple of hours reading in my recliner.

JWs ATTACKED by PIT BULLS while Out in Service - Orlando News
by abbagail ini saw this story on the orlando/central florida tv news over the weekend, and further below is their very brief, and barely-informational print article.
the print article does not mention jws, but the tv news loudly and clearly said several times "jehovah's witnesses going door to door" were attacked by the pit bulls.
it was two "sisters.

Although I don't doubt for a second there isn't at least the odd elder crowing about how they were protected by the angels. The umbrella, the truck stopping just in time....
I agree, dog owners like that one who don't keep their dogs enclosed just shouldn't be allowed to keep them. Not only are their animals dangerous when they get out but they are usually the reason tougher restrictions are imposed, which usually wind up making life more difficult for the responsible owners.

Wet season, my city smells of rain. Love it, you know that smell of the first few raindrops on hot concrete?
Brinjen, I love that smell, doesn't happen hear too often though.
Also the smell just after a thunderstorm is amazing !
Ooh yeah Alpha, smell the ozone! Love it! Hope we get plenty of storms this year
this time of year, it smells like fresh cannabis about ready for harvest....
Right OpenFireGlass, I'll need your location, and details of the next flight to get there!

Well, take some comfort 5go that it will be our turn soon. Wet season is just around the corner here, although Mar-Apr is traditionally the most likely time, monsoon activity tracking north over what is then very, very warm oceans.
We didn't get a scare this year, did the previous two years with Ingrid in 2005 & Monica in 2006. Monica was a category 5 with peak gusts of 360km/h and 905hPa. She was scary, missed Darwin when she went inland earlier than expected. By the time she reached us, she had been downgraded to a tropical low.
Of course, there's the famous Cyclone Tracy back on Christmas day in 1974 that wiped out the city, but that's another thread.
All I can say is stay safe man.

It's dry season here at the moment, not much in the way of smells, occasionally the ocean.
