  a friend of mine sent me the following... gave me a laugh...and a few surprises.

  in the 1400's a law was set forth in england that a man was allowed to beat his wife with a stick no thicker than his thumb.

  hence we have 'the rule of thumb' .

  this question is a hypothetical one, posing a, what would you do type situation.

  think back to the days of the bible kings for the nation of israel.

  there were bad kings who took israel off track by their rule and some good kings who instituded changes that brought them back on track.

  People would get bored in paradise where nothing goes wrong, where there are no challenges.

  Paradise on earth always seemed like a boring senario because you probably couldn't get a hold of a good novel. No good movies for sure.

  So I'm not eating much right now. In crisis you know how that goes. But I got a craving. Good thing, it means I'm feeling like eating...go with it. So I send my daughter out after hot wings. Wing Street, Pizza Hut thing, just down the street. She brings home the blazing hot wings, and hot wings. I'm happy.

  First a blazing one, of course. OMG that's good. Wow that's hot. Another one, this time with some ranch dressing (try to cool it down a bit). OMG that's good. Tears start, find a beer, lose of site, drink, bite, drink, bite, blow nose, can't see, keep going, drink, dunk, bite, tears streaming, black out.....vision clears. Time for chocolate.

  so apparently i am highly recognizable.

  large dredlocked black man living in colorado with odd sense of humor posts on discussion board is a t-shirt that i didn't know i was wearing.

  :) i went to a local eatery where they call out your name when your sandwich is prepared.

  sorry no offense but why do some ex-witnesses here join another group....we have a muslim {muhamed was given a koran by an angel in a cave?

  }....we have some baptists etc......i researched the bible and found there are 1,000's of gospels not part of the bible...so what's the deal...."fool me once shame on you..fool me twice shame on me" or do you have a reason for continued belief in religion...i really wan't to know since iam agnostic and don't believe in god or evolution????

  What F##king difference does it make? Some people need structure, some need faith in something more than them selves. Some don't. SO WHAT!!!!

  HAVEN'T WE LEARNED ANYTHING ABOUT TOLERANCE?!!! I believe in God you don't, I don't believe in God you do. WHATEVER!!!!! Don't get me wrong. I am interested in peoples stories, but I see no need to influence anyone through opinionated arrogance. I've had my fill of that, thank you very much.

  I'm with mouthy, we should play nice. Sorry, just having a bad day.
