  let me begin by saying that i never expected to even talk about my situation let alone discuss it on the internet but i guess im just feeling so sad that i must hope that someone will understand and give me encouragement...so here it goes.. .

  Did U Ever Express Negative Comments About The Organization While U Were In

  i was caught saying a few "truths" about the organization to my tennis buddy whose family are witnesses.

  he rather innocently related some things i expressed.

  the next thing i knew i was being asked by the po if i had any issues with the faithful slave.

  When it was announced that there were to be no introductory comments before or no concluding comments after the Bible reading in the TMS, I expressed elation that we were finally going to allow God's Word to speak for itself.

  The TMS conductor stared at me for the longest of time. I knew then that I was a "marked" person. I began my fade shortly afterwards.

  The Very Peculiar Fear of Satan

  as we know, jws tend to have a very strong fear of satan.

  after thinking back, i can't believe the extent to which the concept of satan has gripped many jws with fear.. for instance, there was a member of my congregation whose feelings i hurt unintentionally.

  i still believe that if they would've stopped and thought about it that i meant no harm, but since they were hurt i apologized.

  19 We know that we belong to God, and the whole world is under the power of the evil one.

  20 We also know that the Son of God has come and has given us discernment to know the One who is true. And we are in the One who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

  The above references are taken from 1 John 5. It was only after I left the JW's that I read the Scriptures in context. What the above is saying is that we don't have to fear Satan or any other gods if we are in the Father and the Son. But, of course the WTS doesn't want us to have that assurance. They want us to look to them for security. Cunning, deceitful bastards!

  Please believe me when I say the JW's in Alabama are nothing at all like the Normal Alabamians, I have had extended contact with both groups...the JW's are that way simply because they are JW's.

  Amen to that. I remember being encouraged to "put on the new personality." Unfortunately that meant becoming a cookie-cutter WTS drone.

  Do You Know Any Hardcore Apostates?

  are there any very active apostates in your area?.

  i'm talking about the snarling, fire-breathing, district convention picketing, apostates that are an absolute nuisance to local congregations, and are very irritating thorns in the side of the watchtower society.. i don't know of any in my area but i've heard rumors of one group in particular that is well known and very active.

  if it's true i'd like to find out who they are.

  I don't know of any hardcore apostates in this area. However, I remember a guy coming down from NY who would trail after the Witnesses and warn householders about them. It was about 30+ years ago and he caused quite a bit of confusion.

  What is concept of worship? Why would God want it so bad? I don't get it.

  that pretty much says it all, but i just dont get why god so craves worship.

  what is he really getting out of it???

  but he wants it so much that if he can't get it, he will whack you out forever.. never felt like worshiping god but say thanks for great sunsets.....oompa.

  I find it quite interesting that the words worship and worthy share the same root. The Creator alone is worthy of worship. No one and nothing else is. God doesn't need or want anything so badly that He has to kill in order to get it. He invites all to come to Him in humility and obedience. We can accept Him or reject Him. The choice is ours.

  However, the notion that He is going to consign billions to everlasting destruction or everlasting torment is a manmade construct based on fear and loathing. Read the Bible again and again for the first time and you will find no such concept in its pages.

  here is part of my story until i have more time.

  i am know 30 years old, i have been married for almost 9 years to someone who has no relgous ties at all.

  i was baptized when i was 19 due to pressure from my family, they wanted me to to get baptized when i was 16. i think i may hold the record for most comitee meetings probably about 20, i was publilcly reproved and disassociated.
