i thought this was worth sharing.. .
where did the interpretation of gen 49:27 come from ?.
tms review question 4. .
Yeah, their claim of having special insight on the Scriptures is what drew me and lot of others in.
I knew just a little of the Bible then, and we know what is said about a little knowledge!

Good thoughts, all.
Ray Franz references this is his first book.
When he was given the task of helping put together the Aid to Bible Understanding encyclopedia, he stated how impressed he was with the Bible commentaries of old.
He noted how they have withstood the test of time, in contrast to WT publications which are often here today and gone tomorrow!
He stated that his uncle, Fred Franz, advised him to consult those commentaries of Christendom as much as possible.
So, even the so-called Oracle didn't believe his own teachings.
LOL.

Yep.
I've recently completed reading the Book of Jasher and the Book of Jubilees.
The compilers of the New World Translation borrowed from both of those books.

any objective reading of the gospels makes it plain that jesus believed his parousia would happen within the lifetime of his generation.. his followers believed in his imminent return until the day of their deaths.. his false prophecy damaged the lives of his disciples in a similar way to that done by the lies of modern cults like the watchtower.
peter and others walked out on their wives, children and businesses to follow him around palestine.
jesus taught them to put their families and other normal concerns in second place to their task of spreading his message - which turned out to be false.. the question is what he was up to?.
I believe He was who He said He was - I AM - John 8:58.
Have you not read that He calls the things that are not as if they were? Romans 4:17
