Yes, thank you for such a powerful, Scriptural response, SA. I always wondered why the WTS was so skittish around the Gospel of John. Now I know it's because John flatly contradicts their shaky theology. The minds on this forum are simply devastating to the Society.

i was when i found this place.. this place, jwd, didn't change that.. i knew that so many things were wrong with the organization.
i was an elder.
I then realized I was in a deep depression and things started to go sideways for me.
Same thing happened to me. It was only when I stepped back and identified the source of my depression that I began to get better. It's so good to be here with those who have undergone similar experiences.

we have a discussion group of 8 or 9 people that meets at our house every 4 to 6 weeks.
weve been doing this over 5 years and gotten to know each other fairly well.
during our last salon a few spoke of religious values that carried over even though they are no longer members of their former religion.
I was going to mention compassion and empathy, but I possessed those values before becoming a JW. Come to think of it, those values were what caused me to leave the JW's.

3 and 5, you say? They are cute at that age and are usually eager to please. Hope it works out well for you. I have a grandson, 13, who's extremely handsome. I used to like him before puberty set in.
