A chapter on The Trinity
by Doug Mason inas i work my way through the history of judaeo-christian salvation, i have drafted a chapter on the trinity and early christology.
as before, i am seeking corrections, advice, and suggestions.. the chapter is available at: http://www.jwstudies.com/formative_christianity_s_christological_combats.pdf.
while preparing this chapter, i realised that i am not looking at the "evolution" of soteriology.

Never Thought I'd Say This, But I've Found Something to Look Forward to in the Meetings
by Sorry inmy therapist inspired me to start looking on the bright side.
even though i've pretty much given up listening to the bs and usually tune out the meeting by playing on my phone/tablet, i find the local needs talk oddly fascinating.
probably because it's the only part that doesn't seem outlined to death (at least at our hall), and you truly don't know what you get.

Jesus Christ dead for three days and three nights really?
by Crazyguy inhas anyone done a detail research on this subject?
the gospels seem to contradict one another and christians apologists have a bunch of different ways to try to explain away the problems.
has anyone have a concrete explanation for or against him truly being dead three days and three nights as the story goes?.

I constructed the Wednesday through Saturday model using the four gospels.
6pm Tuesday evening to 6pm Wednesday evening - Nisan 14, Passover - Jesus of Nazareth & Co ate evening meal on Tuesday night after which He was arrested, tried, and sentenced to death. He died at 3 pm on Wednesday, the 9th hour. His body was hurriedly placed in a new tomb so that the Passover could be observed. The women carefully noted where His body was laid because they knew it would be either Friday or Sunday before they could perform the customary anointing of It for burial.
6pm Wednesday evening to 6 pm Thursday evening - Nisan 15, first day of Unleavened Bread - A High Sabbath, so called because it occurred same week as the regular Sabbath. One night, one day ...
6 pm Thursday evening to 6 pm Friday evening - Nisan 16, Preparation Day for the weekly Sabbath. On Friday, women disciples prepared fragrant spices to anoint His body, then rested because of the Sabbath. Two nights, two days ...
6pm Friday evening to 6 pm Saturday evening - Nisan 17, weekly Sabbath - Jesus of Nazareth arose at 6 pm, on Saturday. Three nights, three days ...
6 pm Saturday evening to 6 pm Sunday evening - Nisan 18, first day of the week, early Sunday morning, the risen Jesus of Nazareth appeared to women disciples who had come to anoint His dead body, and to others as they walked along a road or sat in a locked room.
This, I believe, is how it happened.

LOL.
I once worked for a health care agency where recipients were required to submit an application for services.
One question asked about prior health issues.
An applicant replied that she'd had problems with fireball toomers.
What???!!!
She meant fibroid uterine tumors.

For the all the noise WT makes over the Ransom, it has never fully explained in concise, understandable terms what the Ransom is.
To do so would entail acknowledging the fact that the Ransom covers Adam and Eve, and it is Jehovah Himself who repurchased us from sin and death.
It always pays to stick to Scripture.
