Not under law, but grace...
That and justification - if the Master sets you free from condemnation, who's to question Him?
Love it.

i`m showing my ignorance here , not being an active member of any church before joining jw`s as a 19 yr old ,whenever i was ever confronted with the question of "grace" i was always at a loss to give an effective answer from a jw point of view.. was it just me ?
or did anybody else have a similar experience ?.
(ps , i dont think i ever heard the expression " grace" in a religious sense in all my 33 years in the borg.studying the wt.).

my oldest daughter once worked at a convenience store/gas station for a muslim gentleman.. he had two sons - the older one @ university, and the younger worked with my daughter.. well, my daughter said the younger was blackmailing the older because the older was in possession of a bible!.
she also said the young man confessed to her that he often times went to a soul food joint way out in the country and ordered pork chops.
she said he told her they tasted soooo good.. lol.. sylvia.

Amazing Grace!
One of the most-loved Christian hymns, recognized throughout the inhabited Earth.
Who can sing it, hum it, play it, and not be moved?
Only those whose hearts have hardened by the teachings of a misguided organization such as the WT.

this is obviously a question for the older generation.
i'm really curious what it was like to be a witness in the 60's and 70's?.
was the society as strict as it is today?.
Amen, TD.
The word religion comes from a root meaning to bind.
Like in a family, a community.
Bound in love, not fear.
I was baptized in 1974, and I remember a loving brotherhood.
Came the 80's, and all havoc broke loose.

Oh, but the heart begs to differ.
Spring 1971 was the happiest I ever remember, and I continue to measure each milestone in my life against that season.
I used to feel a slight twinge of guilt that even my baptism as a JW didn't measure up to it.
LOL.
Love and blessings.

greetings, word lovers:.
in my job, i work with words and wrangle them into shape, well, in a manner of speaking.
one word might be mistaken for another, a word with either a similar or identical sound.

I say was because even though he still lives, he's not MY Sam anymore.
