I noticed that the bethel of New Zealand has been sold to another church. Could an individual JW business owner do that?

introduction: this subject came up on another thread and seemed important enough to justify its own thread:.
judicial hearing procedure, chapter 7. recording devices.
"recording devices should not be allowed.
If I refuse to have a JC that is not recorded, will they go ahead and disfellowship me by having a JC in my absence?
are they allowed to vomit all their jw crap everywhere on fb?
i know they aren't supposed to have jw forums so i figured the same would apply to fb but not sure.. if there are any references, that would be great.
.
Facebook is a platform to share your passions and key events with your friends and family. Therefore, I would not expect any less from Jehovah’s Witness who are truly into their religion. You don’t have to read their stuff… you can simply delete them. That’s what I did with most of my JW friends.

somehow, the topic of cults came up and one of my neighbors said that the jw require 10% of their income to go to the church.
@Zound
"The truth is damning enough - no need to support exagerations."
Well said!

I believe in factual truth, I don’t care if I don’t like the JW anymore, making up falsehood is even concerning your worst enemy is wrong. JW don’t give 10%.
So I told her that I've known some witnesses and that I had never heard of such practice. Yet, my neighbor insisted as if it was a fact. “Oh yeah, I know for a fact!”
Right then, I realized I couldn’t be myself. I felt forced to let the topic go as it could compromise my position. I can’t say: “I used to be a JW” or “I’m not a JW” for fear she would tell somebody that came to her door. I’m in a prison made of glass where my expression of my thought and even faith is control by a religion I don’t even feel like I belong to.
So why am I still a JW? The shun policy. Am I a coward or am I simply choosing my battles? Anyways… a slow fade seems like the solution for right now.
so i missed this letter below being read out last week - i got a look at it from the notice board this week.. from what i heard, this announcement was not received entirely positively as such, but there were apparently one or two for who this is a bit annoying.. staying at hotels for the district convention is nothing new here - many are used to staying at the same hotel/b&b/campsite every year, and get quite friendly with the owners.
but this year, it looks like not only do we have a new location for our district assembly (glasgow - the s.e.c.c.?
) but we are being told what hotel to stay at, supposedly to make things cheaper.. what i can't understand is, if this is really for the benefit of people, why didn't they do this years ago?
so over the last 5 - 7 months as some may know i have resigned as an elder and just came to a cold stop going to the meetings.
brothers call i wont answer the phone.
if they come by i just wont answer the door.
Yeah, I don't bother making up stories for missed meetings anymore. I since then noticed that they stoped asking.
"We haven't seen you in a while, how have you been doing?"
"I've been great! Thanks for asking!"
"You haven't been here often though"
"Well, my objective is to be here at least twice a month, If I can reach that goal, then, I'll be happy"
As long as you look very happy, they don't bother you.

in todays watchtower, the society used the first chapter of nahum to explain why a father who lost his job would put his trust in jehovah by going out in service midweek.
In today’s watchtower, the society used the first Chapter of Nahum to explain why a father who lost his job would put his trust in Jehovah by going out in service midweek.
Now, that chapter explains how Jehovah would protect his people against the Ninivites and that there was “one” who was prophesying about it in the mountain.
How this story and the other actually match… I don’t know.
Seems to me that Matt 6:33-34 is much better to throw that idea around, so why bring something unrelated such as Nahum??
lately, i have been seriously considering a slow fade out from the jw.
obviously, i have family in the jw and i don't want to cause them trouble.
but then, lately, some of the family that is not jw is studying and even asking me to study with them!.
I already read the two books from Brother Franz. I'd say the reading was very interesting, but odly enough, must of the things he wrote about simply confirmed things I already knew.
Its such a shame he passed away before I had the courage to read his writtings.... I knew about him a while back, but I was told so much bad things about him that I ignored his existance for too long... now its too late.
Anyways... I find myself in a spot where I like my JW friends and family, still want to preach the bible, but can't preach the WT's version anymore.
So, until I find a happy place, I am not free!

I personnally still believe in God, Christ, Salvation, Ransom Sacrifice, even Paradis on earth. Therefore, I'd be more then happy to review these believes in the bible with them. But then, there are other things that I don't believe: 144 000 being a real number; Only the anoted should partake; the WT is the only true religion; do not use any blood transfusion; 1914; etc.
Suddenly, I find myself in this impossible position where I realized that as long as I am known as a JW, I am not even able to preach the bible whole heartedly as it could get me disfellowshipped if the non jw talk to any jw about it.
I'll try to forget about it for now, but sooner or later, something's gonna break.
