Is Makers really higher in your area? Here Makers is 23.99 for a fifth and Jack is usually at least 19.99, but usually 21.99.

HOWEVER, for the BIG GUY, its 49.99 for Makers and 41.99 for Jack, so then its a little worse.

I really don't enjoy straight Old No. 7, at least not when I'm totally sober, i'll do it on the rocks, but I still prefer some soda with mine. When I've already had 3 or 4 really strong whiskey drinks, then I'll usually just start drinking from the bottle. I've finished fifths of Jack many times in one sitting, and I finished a liter on a couple occasions!!! Makers Mark on the rocks though, now THAT is a drink!!!

Looks like a few of you on here might enjoy brown liquor as much as I, so I thought I'd ask. Also how do you like it? Neat, on the rocks, with water, with soda?

My top 5 faves:

1. Jack Daniels 1954 - neat always, this is GREAT whiskey

2. Makers Mark - rocks, or with soda (I drink this the most anymore)

3. Jack Single Barrell - rocks

4. Woodford's Reserve - rocks or with 7 up

5. Jack Daniels - with coke, or with 7 up (this was my favorite,"everyday" whiskey, but Makers moved ahead of it)

I really dislike Jim Beam, and their "family" Knob Creek, etc. I do still want to try Booker's, to see if I can handle it.

I have a special place in my heart for Crown, and Crown Reserve, and I do also enjoy Southern Comfort and 7 UP, even though Southern is considered a liquer, being that its whiskey blended with spices and apricot flavorings.

if it is true that it has been announced that ex-jw`s are not to get the study watchtowers, then i must put an ultimatum to my wife.

i look through the wt's at the moment to gauge any radical teachings that i may need to counter with my 2 kids.

if my wife rewfuses to give me the 'secret' wt's then im afraid that it is the end of her taking them to the meetings.

Yes absolutely, find out what they are teaching your children. I remember many times having people trying to seperate me from my worldly family and my mother.

ok, other than my father, i don't miss anything about being a dub at all.

seriously, i love my life right now, its great, thinking for myself, doing what i want, etc., etc.. i've only been out 3 months, officially, and i find no "void" or anything.

i've got a bunch of great friends on the outside, that i had for years while being jw, and then i have my mother and all her family supporting me.

But I also agree that there are a ton of truly great wonderful people trapped, because "they don't know where to go" or "what do without their family".

I know I don't want to worship a god that destroys families, that is ridiculous. I mean did they just "gloss over" the prodigal son?

Vernon is not "in" the borg, I don't believe, I think he's just religious, as a 'Christian', and was offended by my comments that is for weak minded people that can't think for themselves. I stand by that.

I feel that the Bible is full of wonderful life lessons, and many of these you can learn from and apply in your life, to be a good decent person. I think the idea that you need to go to a church and associate, and have someone try to "scare you into believing" is a joke. I always hated this tactic, and its used by every religion I know of. There is always good, always evil, and always some man made rules to every organized religion that I've encountered.

I've got a bunch of great friends on the outside, that I had for years while being JW, and then I have my mother and all her family supporting me. Plus a great girlfriend and a really active music career. I really just don't miss religion at all, and really just see all of it as a way to control ignorant, weak minded people, that are too afraid to think and act for themselves.

Wow...just had an anxiety attack moments ago...

this hasn't happened to me in a very long time.

i was in the kitchen fixing dinner for the kids not really thinking about anything other than dinner..then bamm i was overwhelmed with a panic feel and very bad thoughts that i'd rather not discuss.

i dropped what i was doing and went into zach's room just to get a bit of peace and recollect myself.

Go see your doctor and get some Xanax, seriously, its great stuff, and you need it, if you suffer from regular panic attacks or general problems with over anxiety. It has been a life saver for me. Basically I can carry on a normal life, and I'm not such a pain to be around.

I was getting anxiety so much at one point that I was drinking a bottle of Jack Daniels per night or every two nights. Now while that made me feel better, I knew I had a problem, and was just drowning my fears and pressures of life. I needed meds to cope with it. I take mine any time I feel like I will be put in an uncomfortable situation, or must be subjected to large crowds.

Funny thing is I'm a great public speaker, and I play guitar / sing in a very active blues band. Neither of those affect me at all.

I would buy a few armored H3's, and some explosives, and go drive around to all the KH's in the area and start blowing them up. No people inside, I like most of them still. Just make sure that their services are interuppted for a while. Then I'd go force my dad to talk to me, for 15 hours or so, finally come home and make love to my girlfriend, and play my guitar as loud as I could with any time I have left.

That or just arrange a giant orgy... LOL!!!

Caught Wife Cheating

so i posted a while back about my marriage problems.... whole new gambit thrown into the mix.

i've had suspicions all along that something like this might be happening... but only just not confirmed that she's been cheating on me... with another jw that she works with!

she could have been more discreet about it rather than leave all the text messages on her phone.

Dude, we're about the same age, trust me, MOVE ON, and just like freedom frog said, you MUST, MUST, MUST:

1. Learn to trust yourself only

2. Move on, and make a new life - seperate from mind control, cheaters and liars

Its VERY HARD to do all this, severe ties with your ex and her family, and maybe even friends you have in the borg. I had my support group, until I was scripturally UN-free for a year and a half, and decided enough was enough and began dating. It was really hard to lose my family, but looking back it was also another good decision in LIFE, to trust more in myself and MY abilities, that I CAN DO things for myself. I DON'T NEED people telling me how to live, who to talk to, and not to date. Having the freedom to do whatever you want, and have REAL FRIENDS is the best feeling in the world. Come on, you're saying as a young single male you can't make friends? Find women? Pursue whatever "floats your boat"? C'mon...
