  Dad refuses blood...

  i sit here in shock because i just found out that my father, far away in hawaii, has been in the hospital since monday.

  he has an abdominal aortic aneurysm.

  this means he could die should the aorta ruputre (and it is threatening to do so).

  I'm so sorry that you're having to experience this.

  I went through the same thing maybe 3 months ago when my mother had to have surgery in her abdominal area =. From the way the surgeon was describing the problem she was having, severe blood loss was very much guaranteed. He even said he wished my mother wasn't a JW(she's not baptized by the way) and would take blood. Even though she lost alot during the surgery, it was built back up to normal now.

  Very scary situations are what these are. I hope that your father will end up alright and that you can remain strong during all of this.

  Lowly publishers can now attend international conventions

  i don't know if this has been posted yet but my mom told me that there was a letter from crooklyn that publishers can now attend international conventions.

  before only the pioneers, elders, etc could attend.

  she said that there was a tremendous amount of excitement among the publishers that they now have the "privilege" of attending.

  She said that there was a tremendous amount of excitement among the publishers that they now have the "privilege" of attending. She also said that her elder husband had been asked by half the lowly publishers for applications to attend.

  I could be overanalyzing, but I see this as a strategy by the WTS to give the Dubs a bit of excitement in there lives. There hasn't been much of anything "thrilling" in Dubland lately.

  Do you ever get nausea when encountering JW stuff

  i thought after 7 years out i had done a pretty good job of getting my mind free of the jws.. then yesterday i went on youtube and typed in jehovah's witness.

  after watching a few apostate videos, i came across a pro-jw video of a convention.

  as i started the video and they started singing "we thank you jehovah" i got a mega wave of nausea and felt like i had to switch the thing off.. has this happened to you?

  I really don't like it when the WT literature is in my site.

  I have so much literature stock piled however. I'm along with Snakes here and am willing to offer mine to anyone that wants it.

  I have so much that alot of it is at my parent's house, and my JW father threatened that he'll throw it all away if I don't take it away from there, since i'm not attending meetings anymore. I told him he could do whatever he wanted with it.

  in 1961 my father was disfellowshipped for not doing to the kingdom hall he was assigned to.. if i'm lying...my dying!.

  a brother from my old hall was giving the talk so my brother (who lives with me and has no idea how i feel) signed us up for hospitality.

  i decided i should at least make an appearance to stave off the storm a little.

  man, i can barely stand being there.
