Update: Last Nights Meeting

first of all i would like to think everyone for the support i recieved yesterday.

i would also like to shed some light on my past, hopefully this does not give it away as to who i might be.

my wife and i were both raised as jw, we were both baptized when were fifteen years old.

not suppose to leave the marital bed only on the grounds of adultry otherwise you leave the other in danger of committing adultry...thats what the w/t teaches.

But I would give her space, respectfully as this would be a huge shock for her, maybe she saw the signs and was hoping it wouldn't come to this, but better to go than to pretend, I think that would do more damage to youre marraige, at least she should have some respect for you for being honest, and not lingering on with a phony suit on. I guess all circumastances are different. Hope things work out for both of you and youre sons.

secret groups in modern times have often been formed for quite honorable reasons, possibly for "social and benevolent purposes," according to the encyclopdia britannica, and "to carry out charitable and educational programs.

someone related a story to me a couple of months ago over the last few days it sunk in.

there was a time it was so easy for me to get mad and angry and virtually meditate on how the organization systematically stripped me and so many of my loved ones of their lifethe life that could have been.

real love was replaced with a recipe of what love is, putting god first and then defining what the perception of god was supposed to be, to include a group of men directed by a corporation that decides who we can or cannot speak to, as well as who we can or cannot love in the common sense of the word.

letting go of the org and letting go of Jehovah are different, the GB replaced Jesus and therefore denied Jehovah. ( he who denies the son denies God also) the creator (Yahweh or Jehovah) is not the org never has been.

those that put to much faith in the organization are hardest hit, only faith in Jesus and Jehovah is where happiness lies, if one can seperate that then I think the leaving is easier.

Jehovah does not equal the GB or WTS.

well, it's that time of the year again!!!.

the november the 1st watchtower is demanding money from the r and f and in no uncertain terms makes it clear that no matter how poor they are they should be giving their money to one of the richest companys in brooklyn, the watchtower bible and tract society!!.

the 'inspiring' article on page 17 is entitled:.

They are emotional parasites. When I think of some of those in need in my congregation that never get any help at all from the congregation and they are asked to do more to give more, even if their health is failing there is always some other b/s worst of and we should give of ourselves even more.

I give to my b/s personally and not in the contibution box anymore.

in 1976, my friend bruce price was in contact with jehovahs witnesses who had become disillusioned through the debacle with 1975. bruce was the leading voice among the sda ministry in working for jws.

at the time, i was a member of the sda church.

although i left them about 25 years ago, to this day bruce and i enjoy a strong and genuinely warm friendship.. so, in 1976 bruce invited me to a meeting with one of the jws who was leading the disquiet in his congregation in dandenong (victoria, australia).

will download file later...but I do remember about Dandenong as I was living in Melbourne at the time, in fact baptised the same year and the talk was about an apostacy congregation in the Dandenongs

Actually my book study elder left the org only a few months after before my baptism and went to America to live.

Annual Bethel Meeting

my parents just came back from the annual bethel meeting in brooklyn.

they said only 3 of the gb were there.

they felt the need to inform me of everything even though i was in a blur watching tv.

Iv'e heard this before, when I first came into the org back in the seventies they said that Jehovah was cleaning out the organization that includes congregations of course, this was because of the great departure of b/s after the 1975 fiasco, they said Jehovah is cleaning out the goats from the sheep that is why so many are leaving.

Think the same thing happened in the eithties and early ninties. So maybe many are leaving and that is what their saying Jehovah is again cleaning out the org, thing is when is going to start at the top.

144,000 resurrected BEFORE Jesus rose?

(this occurred during the time when jesus was being crucified).

"and the memorial tombs were opened and many bodies of the holy ones that had fallen asleep were raised up, (and persons coming out from among the memorial tombs after his being raised up, entered into the holy city,) and they became visible to many people.".

So it is MY OPINION that these resurrections would have been no different than Lazarus being resurrected or any other resurrection done by the prophets in ancient times where people came back to life for a while but then would later die from old age or whatever

JC, maybe this was a miniture fullfillment of the earthly resurrection to take place in the new system.

A Change in the Generation teaching, AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

just wondering if anybody else has heard of a change of the generation teaching again and a change in some of the parables, this was heard by a friend of mine from a couple that was entering gilead(puke) and by a c.o.

just wondering if anybody else has caught wind of this, or if has been written in the new witness only wt.

The 1995 generation change was a large reason for many dubs leaving the organization. It was a major shift in doctrine. A major shift in doctrine that the WTS blamed on the rank and file.

I don't understand what you mean by the WTS blaming the change in the generation thought to the r/f, in what way did they?

I know they did the dirty on the 1975 fiasco and blamed over zealous brothers..

Jesus talked about seasons and times, and as you all know said this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur (Math 24: 34) a biblical generation is 40yrs, Noah built the ark the rains came after 40yrs. The Isrealites where in the desert for 40yrs, and I am sure other bible knowledge folk on here could think of other 40yr generations that only deal with God's people.

The great tribulation will be something mankind has never seen or experienced according to Jesus, so just maybe that generation starts at the on set of the great trib and lasts fourty years, but true to Christs' words, we dont' know the hour or the time of the great trib, which leads to armageddon, only those that remain faithful through the great trib survive armageddon.

I personally believe it is a spiritual 40yr desolation and when that started we don't know, but the WTS has certainly come to a heavy low the past 30yrs or so, and I don't believe they are yet judged, so this 40yr biblical generation could mean spiritual desolation of the WTS, until the presence of the Christ and thats when the final 144,000 are sealed and proven worthy of the kingdom. Just a thought.

GB on Airplanes

have you ever heard of anyone running into the gb on an airliner?

i have not and so that only leads me to believe that they charter jets to move them around the world.

how do they travel?.

I wonder if they are like politicians, they go to the area's where donations have droped, or more seem to be leaving the fold, suspicious aren't I , but it is probable don't you think?
