  well, i finally got a chance to discuss religion with a jw at the door.

  i have been looking forward to it for a long time, now i know what questions to ask that will cause them to eat their reasoning book in panic.

  but no, there was no long in depth bible discussion.

  Jesus's 'wife' was massive pain in the arse

  ACCORDING to a fourth century papyrus Jesus had a wife that he absolutely despised.

  

  Jesus even started a rumour that she was a prostitute

  A passage in the ancient text describes a dialogue involving Jesus where the founder of Christianity says ‘for God’s sake don’t get married – my wife is a nightmare’.

  He then tells his disciples about her terrifying mood swings and rank hypocrisy and confirms that ‘loving thy neighbour does not count if you live next door to Mary Magdalene’.

  According to the text, written in Egyptian Coptic, Jesus added: “Sometimes I wish I really was the Son of God. That would shut her fat face.

  “‘Did you fix the shelf in the bathroom?’ No I didn’t because I’m the Son of God. ‘Can you pick up some milk on the way home?’ Sorry, too busy, Son of God. ‘Why do you hate my mother?’ Because she is a horrible old bitch.”

  In a subsequent passage, which scholars say was probably removed from an early version of the Gospel of John, Jesus looks down from the cross and says ‘what’s she doing here?’.

  He then launches into a tirade against his wife insisting: “I wouldn’t be up here if it wasn’t for you, you sour-faced harridan.

  “I wanted to be a carpenter but you just had to have a new donkey.”

  Jesus adds: “‘Peter’s wife’s got a new donkey’, you kept saying. ‘Make some speeches, get yourself noticed, try and get a book deal’.

  So they are the "thinkingest" people, but they do not do independent thinking. How is that any different from parroting? Where did the Watchtower get their doctrine of opposing independent thinking? They did not always teach that. They lifted that doctrine from none other than Babylon the Great! TM

  when a regular pioneer in the united states applied for a job that would help him to keep his entire family in full-time service, his supervisor told him that he would never get that position without a college degree.

  had this happened to you, would you have regretted pursuing full-time service to the exclusion of seeking higher education?

  Far more people have won the lottery than had the experience of getting a job they weren't qualified for because their boss got fired.

  So why isn't the Watchtower pushing people to buy Lotto tickets?

  Because it is a casino religion, offering only a "prospect" of living forever, not a promise, just as when you enter a casino you have a prospect of winning a jackpot.

  The untold stories are of the many who were passed up for jobs because their JW lifestyle had them unqualified or unavailable, or the hiring manager may have a dislike for JWs because of a broken family they caused, or because the JW was a compulsive masturbator who even rubbed them out while on the clock. You wouldn't have to make those stories up.
