Doubling up for Trouble in 2014?

december 2013 our kingdom ministry (u.s.) states in 2013, there were 3 classes of single brothers and 18 classes for couples.

for 2014 there will be 47 classes scheduled.. (these type classes developed as the 'traditional' gilead classes for missionaries have been dropped.

these classes have been developed to send to already existing congregations areas/cities that need help.

Gran is dying.

my dear granny hasn't been feeling well for some time and has had a problem keeping anything down.

she had lost a lot of weight and gone for many tests.

those tests came back and on friday we were told she has cancer of the pancreas.

Ah, LouBelle! You are doing the best thing. When she comes back around to awareness, it is comforting to see and hear a lovely granddaughter by her side. This will give her strength and reassurance to be peaceful as she releases from this life. Many people shy away from discomfort from this, but it's her good fortune that you don't. Bless you!

So Why Do You Think They Needed This New Revision?

are they simply trying to make their bible more readable, or do you think there is a more sinister motive?.

There are a few things in play.

They need to churn the accounts by introducing something 'new', and since they have been like a dry well for several years the easiest thing was to rework something old and call it new and improved.

This younger generation wanted to put out something of their own and get out of the shadow of the previous generation who overlaps them.

They wanted a reference work to slip in some sneaky doctrine changes.

RNWT Bible only in English

so, the english speaking jw world has got the rnwt bible.. so, 60 percent of the non-english jw world still has to to use / read their old nwt bible.. and reads in watchtowers from 2014 on bible text translated from the english rnwt to their language, and mention the changes with their own bible.. this is a very strange situation!.

so, like g. jackson would say, the non-english jw world has to wait for some not so warm summers to keep up with the new rnwt bible.. gorby.

As much as I find Republicans to be useless, there's something really basic I am wondering about.

Isn't it a prerequisite to commit an act of terrorism to become a terrorist? I know that there has been a lot of mission creep with the supposed war on terror, to the point that people who import and sell fake knock off watches are now considered 'terrorists'. Even with this in mind, is there any actual person who feels terrorized by something that is exclusive to Republicans?

i was shocked when i heard a circuit overseer include a strange comment in his concluding prayer at the end of this sundays meeting concerning the adjustments discussed in the watchtower.

he said, in part (and im paraphrasing) thank you jehovah for the governing bodys unapologetic manner in providing these adjustments.

i thought to myself, what a strange expression to make in prayer to god!

Just received a phone call from bethel overseer and guess what?

him and another brother will be in our neck of the woods tomorrow from bethel which is and hours drive away and would like to know if i could meet them downtown.

i will be bringing with me the transcript to my jc but not the recording.

although there's names on the papers there's no recorded voices or my signature so there's nothing they can do as far as sueing me, right?

Those recording laws apply to private conversations, buy what about a public talk? Would consent be required to record someone giving a public talk or sermon? You see, the Watchtower claims its people are performing a public ministry, and they have said so in print many times. Someon speaking in public does not have the same expectation of privacy that one would have in a private conversation.

Then there is that matter that in the USA the NSA has demonstrated that it is lawful to intercept, record and store any private communication.
