as i announced some time ago, jwd as it is will not continue .... ... but .... it's clear from people's comments that they do like the site and many would like it or something else like it to continue.. one issue was the forum software that was self-developed and not really in a good state to hand-over to anyone but i've been working on that and can now reveal the first release of what will probably be called jwn (son of jwd):.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/.
it is still work-in-progress so not all features are enabled yet but it will allow you to browse the site in a similar way to this one and it is pointing at the same database (although because of the way the caching works, new posts made on this site won't appear immediately).
awesome! Thanks for all your tireless efforts!!!!!
she talked about armaggeddon happening in the next year(methinks).
left a book about bible questions.
of course the Big A is coming soon - we have a BLACK PRESIDENT!!!!!!! isnt that in the bible?
the article is not yet in print, however on jw.org you will find the audio recording for the february 15, 2009 study edition.. this article sums up some of the talks given over the past year or so.
it makes clear that we should trust the faithful and discreet slave because jehovah and jesus trust the "slave".
the slave has been faithfully providing spiritual food for 130 years.
instead of trying to emphasize the 1919 date, they are now leaving that one bit of information out, seeing as how it can be proven by their own literature that they were NEVER appointed in the first place.can you please provide your references on this?

w7412/1p.730par.11FreedomfromFearofSpiritualDangers***Said the apostle Paul: "This was that we might have our trust, not in ourselves, but in the God who raises up the dead. From such a great thing as death he did rescue us and will rescue us." (2 Cor. 1:9, 10) Also, Hebrews 2:13 puts the words of Isaiah 8:17, 18 into the mouth of Jesus Christ, and reads: "And again: ‘I will have my trust in him.’ And again: ‘Look! I and the young children, whom Jehovah gave me.’" We dare not put our trust either in ourselves or in other mortal men: "Do not put your trust in nobles, nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs. . . . Happy is the one who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Jehovah his God." (Ps. 146:3-5) The wise man Solomon expressed the same safe rule of conduct, saying: "Trust in Jehovah with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding."—Prov. 3:5.
and yet:
*** g93 3/22 p. 4 Why So Many False Alarms? ***
Jehovah’s Witnesses, in their eagerness for Jesus’ second coming, have suggested dates that turned out to be incorrect. Because of this, some have called them false prophets. Never in these instances, however, did they presume to originate predictions ‘in the name of Jehovah.’ Never did they say, ‘These are the words of Jehovah.’ TheWatchtower, the official journal of Jehovah’s Witnesses, has said: "We have not the gift of prophecy." (January 1883, page 425) "Nor would we have our writings reverenced or regarded as infallible." (December 15, 1896, page 306) TheWatchtower has also said that the fact that some have Jehovah’s spirit "does not mean those now serving as Jehovah’s witnesses are inspired. It does not mean that the writings in this magazine TheWatchtower are inspired and infallible and without mistakes." (May 15, 1947, page 157) "TheWatchtower does not claim to be inspired in its utterances, nor is it dogmatic." (August 15, 1950, page 263) "The brothers preparing these publications are not infallible.Their writings are not inspired as are those of Paul and the other Bible writers. (2 Tim. 3:16) And so, at times, it has been necessary, as understanding became clearer, to correct views. (Prov. 4:18)"—February 15, 1981, page 19
So Paul, who was an inspired prophet said "This was that we might have our trust, not in ourselves, but in the God..." - An inspired prophet said not to trust in ourselves, (remember he was speaking of himself, the other apostles and to annointed Christians!) yet these unispired, imperfect, fallible men say that we are to trust them? Even when the bible tells us....
(Psalm146:3) Do not put YOUR trust in nobles, Nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs.Credulous!!!!!!!!!
i just finished reading a 1943 essay by bertrand russell (not related to crackpot ctr as far as i know, lol) where he discusses his cynical viewpoint of religious beliefs.
towards the end of his essay, he indicates that, instead of being disgusted by people who believe crazy implausibilities, he is actually somewhat amused, even entertained, by some of them, when their beliefs are generally harmless to the rest of the population.
after listing a few of these what he terms superstitions that "add to the gaity of life", he makes an interesting statement that jws should pay attention to:.
If I remember right! there was a prize pocket of money from some university where at one time Sir Isaac Newton was president and a proud Free Mason. The school wanted people to come up with something new to the science field. People like Smyth and Russell and many more quacks wrote about the Great Pyramids.
anything more on this?????
it seems many awaken for so many different reasons......for me...ya...changing the bible and making it say what they wanted it to..........oompa
i have awakened one and to my surprise i am discovering that I am not the only one in my "circle" who is thinking 'critically'. It seems that many are "thinking" but not acting and too afraid to tell anyone. I know 5 personally right now.
Once you get them comfortable with you they let a little bit out. It just takes a long time to get to that point without setting off any panic alarms.
