  It could have been a stock photo purchased by both magazines. Wouldnt it be a good idear to determine if that might be the case? Instead of looking like a bunch of lying apostates?

  Someone is trying to railroad my thread entitled "Stern magazine -important". My first picture was of the Stern magazines front cover featuring the girl's picture that the WTS stole. Now look the picture is gone!!!.(look at the top of that thread) The site where I got the original link is here:

  settle down dude... the pics are there. I have posted lots of pictures of Pascale Petit (French born actress) under your Stern Mag thread and they are there.

  It is not uncommon for sites to cut links to images on their site, Tripod did the exact same thing to me before, I linked to an image on a tripod site and the next day the image was an add for Tripod!

  So the WTS traced a picture? Do you really think they care if people find out? Most people would never give it a second thought anyway. Mind you I thought it was very interesting, hence my efforts to find out who this girl was, but in the end its just a picture. Big deal.

  What is the NEW BUZZ in the Org?

  there is a new wt arrangement, the 1935 change, the 30 minute public talk among other things.

  some have even said they would stop talking doom and gloom, can someone please confirm this?.

  what is the perception of these things among those active in the org?

  I am hearing the term active apostate a lot lately. In the org. do they talk about this a great deal?

  I never have. I actually recall very little comments ever made about apostates other than short references to them in comments. I have never heard anyone make a distinguishment between apostate and active apostate.

  it's only my third day here so, go easy on me.

  lol.. seriously, my new doubts have made it harder and harder to go in service.

  a few months ago, when a new month rolled around, i realized that i hadn't actually gone in service at all the previous month.

  I faked my first 2 hours last month........I got cornered at the hall to put my time in and the brother waited for me to fill it out (no escape!) so I quickly scribbled down 2 hours, folded up the time slip and handed it back.

  30 minute Sunday talks??

  ok maybe somebody else can validate this for me as it has been "officially" announced yet, or at least not in my kh.

  apparently also starting in the new year along with public/private watchtowers the sunday public talk will be reduced to 30 minutes from the current 45 minutes while not lengthening the wt study.

  i hear the reasoning is to give the "brothers" more time to associate after the meeting.

  Conversation with a Pioneer and............

  i had a conversation with a pioneer at yosemite national park recently.

  she was aware that i do not attend the meetings anymore.

  in the past she did not speak to me, but now she did.

  I have been virtually inactive for about 5 years now and now have not gone out in "service" for about 3-4 months (I actually handed in my first fake time report last month for 2 hours!! hehe)

  Anyway, while I am not active I am still "hanging on" as you put it as yes, I have too much invested. I have my marriage to think about and my elderly grandfather that just lost his wife and doesnt have much time left. I honestly dont know how long i can get away with this or even handle it. I have had some family already make comments about my "attitude" when having discussions about the org. They sense things a bit but it becomes the elephant in the room.

  Its amazing how so many can never really commit to the "truth" for so many years, just drifting by without ever really putting thought into anything and then when a friend or family member wants out they freak out like they actually believe it themselves, like they actually have some degree of "higher understanding" that you unfortunately lack. Yet when they argue with you its just regurgatated WT double-think.

  I hear the words "toe the line" here a lot, how true those words are for so many, how true.................

  hmmmmm...... thats a good question. I wonder how many "sisters" where thongs to the meetings or at Bethel? Would a sister get councelled if someone found a thong in the Bethel laundry?
