  Armageddon 2035. WT talking about how Noah preached for 120 years so they add that to 1914 and here we go again.

  i will never forget reading that for the first time.
  
  Of course after all these changes that "delay" the "end" our CO criticizes people at the CA for living as though the end could be 20 or 30 years away still! No! This is wrong thinking!

  Well i may only be 33, but I am old enough to remember that 25 years ago I thought the end was coming and that i would not be married in "this system"

  ) He was telling us how he was at a Bible study with a sister (he was accompanying her on HER study), and the lady student was a lesbian. He told her she needed to "start coming to the meetings, but she'd have to stop dressing like a dyke first." YES, that's a QUOTE. You should have heard the gasp in the KH. I was serving as an elder at the time, but was already starting my fade. He got a talking to by me about that one. I didn't care if he was pissed off or not. What he said was callous and wrong, both to her, and to repeat it from the platform as if he was proud of it.

  2) At the circuit assembly "business meeting" during lunch, he told the elders: "some of the pioneer sisters were wearing ankle bracelets and had multiple piercings in their ears. I call them TRY-A-NEERS, because I don't see why they even try."

  Anytime someone was going through difficult times they would attribute it to: "Satan and the Demons are testing me."

  How about: you brought it on yourself, or God helps those who help themselves or just say no, or the be all end all.....this is part of life get use to it!!!!!!

  Even when I was very young I had it figured out that no one was testing anybody. The witnesses attributed the Big S and Demons to anything they really didn't want to deal with. I wonder if this still goes on?

  yes they still say this and it pisses me of now. You cant have a conversation without this coming up. Everything you cant deal with is Satan so y bother trying and everything else that happens is a sign of how close the end is...

  A friend of mine said the other day that "the WTS recognizes how close the end is because of the new study WT, shortened Public talks and cancelled book studies."

  At the BS the other night the conductors air-head wife that just rambles fluff for 3/4 of the night kept asking questions about 1935 and the generation change so I commented as I was the only one in the room that understood a word of what was being talked about.
  Finally she asked another question. again I put my hand up (of course noone else did) the BS conductor looked at me then back to the group and said : "well some things we wont understand till the new system, we just need to be there to find out!"then everyone laughed.... O god I have heard that enough times to puke!

  The following: I have amassed a large amount of debt buying ridiculous and needless purchases. But the end will be here soon so I won't have to pay for all of these things anyway.

  This was 13 years ago. This fine person is divorced and on the verge of filing bankruptcy. And no, he no longer goes to any JW meetings.

  if they have "light" as per acts 15:28, 29 then they claim to have holy spirit (inspiration), if they claim that the apostles were not provided the light on circumcision via holy spirit - which they do in w95 5/15 p. 12 par.

  there are so many things, but unfortunately most of them they will just brush off upon first glance. You cant be aggresive or argumentative. You have to be a thinker to get them thinking.

  My thing lately has been "New Light". There has been a lot of it lately. But what is new light? What was wrong with the old light?

  You could ask:
  Q - "Did the Holy Spirit mislead the organization?"

  A: "Of course not! Its like using a flashlight in a dark room, we are only given a little bit of light at a time so we are not blinded all at once"

  Q - "Why would the Holy Spirit give wrong Light?"

  A - "it isnt wrong, it is just refined"

  Q - "how is changing the Generation teaching from those of 1914, to wicked people, then to the annointed a refinement? Isnt that a complete avant face?

  A - "well sometimes we only understand prophecies as they are being fulfilled, so the FDS knows better as to what is happening now"

  Q - "But Jehovah knows everything, and he doesnt lie. And if the FDS only understands prophecies after they are fulfilled then were they just guessing about these before? I mean, if the HS didnt lie to them, then how did they come to that conclusion?"

  At this point they will get defensive and angry because they dont know how to answer you. The only answer is that it was human, fleshly reasoning - NOT LIGHT

  You could continue that recent WT articles show that the FDS do not posses "special insights" and that the FDS "draws certain conclusions" about events. They have disconnected themselves from "inspiration" from Jehovah so they can avoid being labelled false prophets, yet they still credit themselves with "Light".
  Problem is, "Light", or instruction from the apostles/prophets, is ALWAYS assoicated with HS - and of cousre the apostles were "filled with HS" according to scripture.

  You are effectively undermining the only thing the GB hasnt given up yet - LIGHT. With LIGHT millions of JW's unquestionabley change their beliefs with the flip of a page. The GB knows better because Jehovah gives them LIGHT. Look, NEW LIGHT is in the bible!

  1. the elder i was in a bissness with decided a hand shake was not a contract, and paid me $500 dollars instead of the $3,000 he should have....i felt so stupid, but quit with him and treated him like a disfellowshiped person since....also he would pay me half a days wage when i worked from 8am till 3pm ???????

  when told about this he said sorry but "couldn't work out how to re-emburse the lost hours.".

  2. my elderly mum sold some furniture when moving, to a sister who promised to pay from her single parent pension in small installments........nope!

  There's this loser of a Witness in my sister's Hall who sues people for a living

  Oh Lord, there are more like that?? I know a couple like that. It burns me up when I think about it.....

  oh yes....

  one brother borrowed $200 and i never saw it again. In fact I never saw him again!

  Another borrowed my mandolin, worth about $300 at the time. A year went by and I asked if I could have it back and he said he had given it back to me 6 months ago!
  Oh ya right. Kiss that mandolin goodbye. I never saw it again and I never saw him again!

  I have a business and I hate dealing with JW's - I NEVER give discounts because they always expect it. As a result I dont get hired by any and thank goodness. At least "worldly" people will pay me and not talk behind my back for "charging too much" - I have lost 2 jobs just recently because I wouldnt reduce my fee by the 75% they wanted me too!!!! No thanks, I told them I would rather stay home.

  I know of JW's that would go back and take the tip off the table at restaraunts when other dubs they were with had left it on the table.
  I remember going out with a large group of dubs to a restaraunt - throwing in way more than my bill should be and the total still would come up short - then of course I have to pay the difference. I have done this many times cause all else take off. And I always knew the pple that didnt pay. They just figured the tips would add up enough to cover their total!

  A very good friend of mine paid a JW cash to do a job. The brother took the cash and did half the work. Said it was too hard to finish. Then asked for the balance of the cash that my buddy was to pay him after the job was finished. He said it was more work than he thought so he should still pay him.
  He went to the Elders about it and my buddy actually paid the A-Hole!!
