make sure you proceed with this through ethical legal action and make sure you get DF'd over it. Your wife will be pissed at the elders for DFing an honest business man while protecting a crook.

CIRCULAR REASONING - the bible says 70 years so it must be 70 years
actually the bible says they "kept sabbath for 70 years" Could this be interpreted as not a literal 70 years? The Israelites had failed to keep Sabbath and now the land was resting. Did the Isrealites not keep any Sabbath for almost 500 years?at 52 sabbaths per year it would take 491 years of missing the 52 saturdays per year to make up 70 years of steady sabbath.
Or was this referring to 70 years of missed sabbaths? 70x52=3640 \ 365= 10 years but what about a sabbath year? so make it 11 years they are out of jerusalem You see, if the WTS could find a way to make these 70 years of sabbaths equal a number of years they need then they could. and they WOULD! Russell got it wrong but its too late now. They cant go back otherwise they would. they would twist the definition of years and sabbaths here to come up with a number that fit their eisegisis
it took a while for me - but after some time i began to see most all religion as controlling entities, interested not only in forcing doctrine on adherents, but also, and perhaps primarily, seeking to control believers.
i initially saw this as somewhat benign, but have increasingly seen it as dangerous, even a malignant force in human social-evolution.
i see a far-right fundy church and it virtually screams "jwism" to me.
I read the WT mags in amazement. I get more out of them than I ever did as a believer cause now I actually "read" them.
When i actually believed this BS I didnt care about the details. They didnt matter - the GB would NEVER lie to me, they had it together.
I just had to go to the KH and comment, go out in "service" and be a good boy. Jehovah would look after the rest.
Now i see the desperation in the WTS to hide the real truth from the R&F. It is almost a panic. They just cant get enough of warning people to not think independently and not to read anything on the internet or listen to anyone that says anything that might even make you think about thinking about questioning the org.
it is unbelievable now.
i am happy to say that i wasn't great with rvs and i never had a study.
hopefully me fluffing my way through presentations didn't plant any seeds that got watered and grew.

can you state some facts that show that jehovah's witnesses are not "normal' and that their religion is weird and simply abnormal?.
a pompous DO will stand on the stage and brow-beat 15,000 JW's for 30 min telling them to do more, work less, think less, study more, donate more, pray more, listen to the GB/FDS without any question - more, and then they appluade him and cheer him for 10 minutes!

i am saddened and angry to observe the pitiful situation some of my jw single female friends are in.
they are over 40 and have little work record, hardly any money and in some instances compromised health issues.
i am angry because these women were waiting for armageddon to come and save them.
it always saddened me to see so many hot women not having sex. What a waste! I really wish I could have helped them
Finally-free, your kind, altruistic, unselfish love for your sisters is heartwarming, if only I could help them all too!
