all i know, if there is an afterlife i'm giving god a suckerpunch...punch first, ask questions later, b/c i'll be pissed off at this little earth experiment at the cost of suffering, needless killing, war, etc.

welcome freedom fighter.
if your suicide impulse is strong, call a suicide hotline and talk with a counselor. there's hope. you're at the beginning of the process and it's great that you found this forum and posted to it.
i've had suicidal thoughts myself and came very close in my 20's. it's important to get help and know things get better.
if you're not in therapy, consider finding a therapist who can help you through the transition and this forum is great. it's not a substitute for therapy, but it's therapeutic.

My Story - This is long...

i was security attendent at one assembly, but only dealt with parking lot issues.....but, at the kh, man, if you didn't pounce on sisters when their babies made one squeal, the elder running the attendents was lecturing you in the back to do your job better.
i felt really bad for what we had to do as attendents.
one single sister chose to sit in the back library and listen to the talk and we'd always kick her out, again, i could care less but the brother in charge of us was agro....looking back she could've had social issues or something.
the elders don't care one bit, it's all about power.
i take that back, i think there's a percentage of elders who care and think they can do their part to make changes from within, but 100+ years of arrogance in leadership in the borg will take more than a few good hearted elders to change things.

great experience and i'm glad you got out and are still working on the mental part of the mindF---.
i used to go to the cow palace too. for the last six years i was going i always sat in the brown seats and when my friends would walk by, the ones cruisin' during the session, i'd stage whisper their name and hang with them for a bit. it was a blast. my wife would just cover her eyes laughing.
brown seats ruled! as did the xanax to get through the sessions.
[slow motion voice]: 'aren't we glad that we as jehovah's people don't have to worry about our future like the world which satan controls' ----> booming applause.
so, so glad to be out of that.

ugh. just listened to the show.
the biggest problem is the conversation was could a judge 'ok' the decision for a 14 year old to not accept certain health treatment....they made great points about quality of life, etc., so the discussion went way beyond the blood transfusion issue, where it was should've stayed, which bummed me out b/c i was hoping for a little more 'what the hell, he'll be shunned, wait a second', from the radio show host.
that's the host's fault, he really should've known that and did some research, or had an intern research it before the show. the host flip-flopped on every single phone call it was just pathetic and obvious he's just putting in time as a radio show host until he retires, which i hope is soon b/c i'm so sick of those DJs who still try to sound like rocker DJs from the 70's and 80's.
i'm very glad the shunning phone call got in there....for him to go on about how he wasn't sure, but i don't doubt it.....makes me wish i could smack someone across the airwaves.
the focus should've switched to keep on the case itself, the real ramifications of the kid accepting a transfusion in his faith, and not have gone to generalities re: leukemia, suffering, etc.
smooth voice and good talk show skills are two completely different things.
i feel like i just listened to someone scrapping their nails on a chalkboard when i played the podcast.

Regional Building Committee decisions boggles even a dubs mind...
by undercover inso i'm talking to someone from my old hall and he tells me that there are some disgruntled jws (including elders) who feel like some bad decisions are being made by the rbc.. for instance, one hall needed a new roof.
an elder, in the construction business, made a deal with a local non-jw roofer that if the brothers cleared off the old shingles, the roofer would come in with his crew and do the new roof for x amount of dollars.
the rbc elder in charge got wind of that arrangement and nixed the deal.

hurray for the continued idiocy of the wtbts. too bad only a few people are in the know on this stuff.....and the minute anyone is found questioning and doesn't get their head back into the wtbts mindset is in line to be df'ed for apostacy....which means the word could never really get out.

i thought the wtbts didn't have any ownership over the kingdom halls, but there's a thing where they can take possession of them if they stop being used.
that was in a thread a while back, can't remember the thread, but it clears the wtbts of any "actual" ownership, making them seem less $$$, even though they have full say as to what happens to the property and when the "great tribulation" is announced, I wonder if they will be a "just sign your kh over to us here" contract so they can all pull together....then the top brass go buy the rest of brooklyn.
anyway, someone here explained how kingdom halls are owned and foreclosure would be through a bank and the congregation's responsibility since the wtbts has "nothing to do with it".

JW's kids must NOT attend nursery school
by aligot ripounsous ini thought that after some 30 years as a jw the wts's teaching is so familiar that i can hardly find anything new in assembly talks, which may be the reason why, as many attendants do, i gently noze down and opening an eye from time to time is enough to catch up the drift of an all too well known talk.
still, i've been genuinely surprised last sunday by a point a bethel visitor rose in one of the p.m talks, namely that jws are not advised to send their kids to school until an age when he (she) can take a personal stand re.
xmas, birthdays, etc.

just another tactic to create under-socialized adults. that's really pathetic.
