Sept KM
by bobld inthis km was discussed however,i wanted to make a comment.the wtbs does not want the r&f to question their reseach and accept want they(gb) say.let's look at one of their publication they mentioned in the sept07km.the revelation (1982) book.the nov06km had over 70 correction.than they printed a soft cover edition with a whole lot more corrections.so we have to accept their bs when a child knows a lot more about the bible than the gb/fds/wt.and they don't want us to question their publications when there are sooooooooooooooo many mistakes.look at other books, the wishy-washy king of the north etc etc .they must be really brain dead.my guess is most die heart jw who read one of the wtbs books and immediately forget what they read.. bob.

hortensia, why did you give up on literature?
it's seriously the only thing that has kept me sane for the last 15 years....but i know there's a lot of literary crap out there, i read a lot of it for writing assignments, so when i find a gem in the mediocrity, i totally freak out.
what lit fiction were you into and why did you become turned off?
just curious...i enjoy genre fiction, non-fiction, etc. an author once told me there's more truth in fiction than their is in biographies.

"Divisadero" by Michael Ondaatje.
it's the first book i've read of his and i've never seen 'the english patient'. i didn't expect much, but Ondaatje is blowing me away...great read.
my "On The Road: The Original Scroll" came in the mail and i'm very excited to read that soon.
i have about 50 books in my TO-READ pile in my office....along with keeping up with the new yorker and trade magazines and the 5-10 books i receive in the mail from publishers every week, i'll catch up when i'm dead.
anyway, "Divisadero", highly recommended.

If you were the GB, what would you do to prevent to coming demise of JWs?
by jwfacts inthe current growth of jws no longer exceed the population growth, and in many educated countries it is now stagnant.
http://www.jwfacts.com/index_files/statistics.htm in 50 years the whole 1914 thing will simply be an embarrasing irrelevance, so for the religion to even exist in 2057 will take some major doctrinal changes.. decrease is quite common for christian religions, except pentecostals, who are experiencing tremendous growth.
maybe they have jesus' blessing.

shower with 20 year old bethelites, the girls i mean...show them the 'attention' they need and deserve so they can have better opportunities to chose appropo mates.
seriously, any gb member who looks deep into his soul for the truth would make public apologies and seriously reconsider where the jws are now and what needs to be repaired and take appropo action.....like that'll ever happen.

so, when did these questions change? AND, if they changed and some of us were baptized before the 'are you in the borg' question, we should be free of answering to the wtbts and not be df'ed for apostacy if it doesn't conflict w/ the bible.
right?

i would've been tempted to crawl out the window and slash their tires, but that would've prompted them to stay longer....no, i would've unscrewed the license plate off of the back of their car b/c that would've gotten them back for wasting your time since they'd have to go to dmv to get new plates and probably be pulled over before they knew it.
advice for next time to feel vindicated. :)
we're very fortunate, the way our place is set up we can see people from the neck down, so how they are dressed let's us know to come downstairs or not.....ups, fed ex, etc., easy to spot. hippies with clipboards pretending to care but getting a buck a signature, easy to spot. jws easy to spot. jws have only been here twice in our five years here....oh, but since our last name is french we're also on the french congregation territory, don't speak a word of french, so they really shouldn't be counting their time. c'mon, brett favre is a french name, do you think he speaks french?

What generation witness are you?
by Bonnie_Clyde ini'm a 4th generation witness.
however, i have jw cousins with grown grandchildren (that makes 6 generations), and two of them are married--all in the "truth.
" if they have kids, they will be 7th generation.

my parents were converted/baptised when i was four years old, then i was baptised @ 16, kind of w/ the silent but known agreement that if i was old enough to get a driver's license, then i was old enough to be a baptised jehovah's witness. aka, 'you won't get your driver's license until you're baptised' aka, 'you can't drive to your girlfriend's house and makeout and you'll have to continue to stew in this house of boredom b/c you can't hang out with worldly people, read anything worldly before reading latest wtbts publications (so, never read), and go out of your mind with hormones spinning out of control'.
i got baptised.
not that i was under the indication it wasn't the truth at the time, i thought my chances of dying at armageddon were pretty good b/c of my lustful thoughts and feeling girls in their nether areas.
i guess that makes me 2nd generation?
