Easy Field Service time, oh yeah baby!
by monophonic ini hope these images work below.. i was at the laundermat, watching this lady do her "street witnessing".
these photos were actually the most attentive she was b/c she was wondering what the hell i was doing taking photos of her.. for the hour i watched her, she talked to nobody.
when i walked by earlier i made eye contact and smiled and she avoided my eyes.

for the hour i watched her, she talked to nobody. when i walked by earlier i made eye contact and smiled and she avoided my eyes. that lady sitting next to her just sat down on her own to wait for the bus, the witness didn't engage with her at all.
and her Awake! wasn't that high, most of the time her hand rested on her stomach and the Awake! mag wasn't visible b/c it was flipped limp onto her body.
the most active thing she did was pull out her moisturizer and rub it on her hands.
this is funny, but it also shows the mentality of many jehovah's witnesses, there's a reason the 'urgency' isn't there to get the word out and i believe that it's b/c deep down everyone knows it's mostly bullshit.
and the continued information pounding of the same few bible doctrines over and over really sets people up to have the drone/stupidity mentality.
and thanks to the september KM, don't look too deep people, "we're supplying you with your daily rations".
quite small, i'm sorry for the visually impaired.
have a good weekend!

by cabasilas inthe knocking site at pbs has a "myth or reality" page fielding various questions on jws at:.

that documentary was all about $$$. what an awesome scam to continually beg congregations to go see the film over and over so PBS would get on board to screen it.
i know emails went out to every congregation member, even inactive ones b/c the director himself solicited the support so people could 'see the faith'.
w/o sucking a lot of ass to the witnesses, there would have been no audience for it, and access would've been cut off and limited w/ anyone participating in line for being df'ed.
or maybe the director is so ignorant he doesn't realize that his being homosexual is a death sentence and god WILL kill him as far as any jw is concerned, including his active mother.
oh, and the $$$ from sales to individual witnesses of the dvd....everyone's wet in their undies to get the word out.
at least the site changed up w/ the education thing, BUT, all that was done was change in wording, NOT, 'they could two years ago and now they can't and they couldn't 15 years ago'. he's bought into the screwy word play of wtbts.
i hope he's getting flack from the homosexual community for this bs.

what led me to leave was their history of being arrogant and the policy changes from the beginning were absurd. i left b/c their history continues to repeat itself.
unfortunately, as history also shows, they get out of these idiotic false teaching, bogus predictions by blaming it on the masses, and anyone showing interest gets instant 'family' and social coddling....so i see no end to this, only a group of smart people who get out before ruining their whole lives and accepting abuse and projecting abuse and continuing the cycle.

Paedo cases in the org and pioneers.......
by jambon1 inhave you ever sat at a convention or assembly and heard an experience from the platform about how some asswipe pioneer received a bundle of cash for their car repairs, "just in time to keep going in the pioneer service".
or some other form of material advantage, credited to god as the provider.. now, let's for a wee minute, assume that these were actual blessings from god.
he actually took action.

my dad doesn't even remember a lot of the things he did during his tenure in the borg and as an elder.
but when i was about 10 years old, he bought a used vw, completely rebuilt the engine and gave it a new paint job and everything and gave it to a pioneer brother.
same pioneer brother who wouldn't talk to me at the last assembly i went to b/c he heard rumors i was inactive....nor did he even inquire of the health of my dad.
but, he's still pioneering and an elder. what a great example to the flock!

When is an "unbeliever" not dedicated ...
by Frequent_Fader_Miles ini'm a bit perplexed.
according to the flock book updates - 2003 for page 133 an "unbeliever" is an unbaptised person.
it goes on further to state that should a dedicated, baptised christian choose to marry an "unbeliever", his/her parents (whether elder, ministerial servant or pioneer) should not give "tacit approval"to the marriage... moral support, financial support for wedding, reception etc.. .

"Jehovah knows all hearts. He will reveal the fakes to the elders who will take appropriate action. In fact, he is so busy reading hearts of people wanting the use the KH for weddings that he doesn't have time to flush out the pedophiles. Oh well. He can only do so much...."
brilliantly said hermano! and i love your icon.

Suicide the bible's view
by jeanne40love inhow does the bible view suicide?.
a few acquaintances of mine in the "truth" committed suicide and when the memorial talks were given, they were handled very differently.
at one hall the brother (ms) who took his life....his life was celebrated....there was comfort for everyone.

probably better stated would be the watchtower society's view, since mixing it with the bible might be confusing.
one script i remember is "wages sin pays is death", so at death, you've paid for your sin, at least that's how it was explained to me when i was "in", that script was never brought up in the case of the suicides that i was emotionally involved with...in the 90's they were very harsh in a couple of different congregations i attended, then slowly started to lighten up.
the old view was, 'they lost jehovah's holy spirit' (said directly to me, a publisher, on two different situations, so who knows what was going on behind the scenes), so it was more investigative tactics as to the why and lots of speculation.
newer suicides i've seen treated w/ more kindness (if you wanna call it that, i could tell some brothers were just itching to get the witch-hunt out), but since i've left the society has beefed up its legal tactics (check out "ELDERS DOCS" in the private discussion forum for pdf scans of that), so they mostly are covering their asses in these cases.
of course, no one would ever admit or apologize to anyone for their old ways of thinking and how much harm was brought on entire families who were not only grieving and coming to grips with the tragedy, but were being investigated as to why 'jehovah's holy spirit had left the family', yes, exact words.
the reason for no apologies will be easily seen in the elder's documents, because they're more fearful of worldly litigation and getting sued than being christian...i doubt jesus would've told his apostles not to ever bring up the subject again b/c they might get sued in the sanhedrin (forgot how to spell that, it's been a long time)...he would've been on them to make ammends and comfort the family above and beyond in their time of grief.
suicides sometimes have a way of triggering other suicides in the family, i've witnessed this first hand in mine as well as others....so it should be very important to show as much love and understanding to the families and friends grieving as possible.
my reasons for leaving the organization are directly related to how we were treated as a family b/c of suicide and i continued to stay 'in', and the 'new light' came w/o apology of the way we were treated (from life long family 'friends' who were also elders), and it all hit me like a flash, the elders, the governing body, the society will chose to seriously harm a few people in order to make sure the possibility of them getting sued or losing face doesn't happen.
for way more information on that check out 'crisis of conscious' by raymond franz which confirmed every intuition i had on such a grander scale than my experiences.

evidence of angelic direction
by tank ini just came across this on the official watchtover web site www.watchtower.org/ .
quote.
jehovah's witnesses spend more than a billion hours annually preaching the good news of god's kingdom.

i wonder if there's the same experience w/ mormons, UPS delivery men and women, political activists, etc.
