It's my understanding, in the US, the WTBTS is being inundated with Mexicans trying to embrace a caucasian lifestyle...or am I off on a tangent once again.

jw's typically say no, but that seems arogant, the universe is ridiculously huge.
maybe god created tons of life and we are the only ones that turned, we were therefore cut off and became limited to our 10% brain power while they continued to advance.

by jelly inwhen do you think the preaching work will expand in china?
how about the middle east (iran, iraq, uae, etc)?
do you think the angels play a great role in getting honest harted people out of these countries( through emmigration) into lands where the preaching work is being conducted to a greater degree.

They have a great love for Jehovah's sheep and appreciate the privilege of going to such ones.
...one billion+ Chinese served by 2 'guys' (Jehovah's Witnesses)...ITcould happen!
...Let's see, potentially one billion x the equivalent 'donation' of .25US per issue = $250,000,000US tax free every two weeks. I can imagine Mcdonalds (Asia) being envious.
Mind you, if the Chinese government takes exception to an American, so-called 'religious', Corporation sopping up loose change on Chinese soil and levys a revenue tax, rest assured the 'great love for Jehovah's sheep' will be a token effort and used for marketing purposes elsewhere.

If I was ever part of this org. boy I'd question everything.
The irony is...then you wouldn't be part of the WTBTS organization.
Openly expressing diversity of thought isn't tolerated...appearing to conform is everything. 'Unity' is financially efficient and easier to administer adherents (Jehovah's Witnesses).

I have this friend who needs some advice...
by Hmmm ini have a friend named uhhh... timmm, who is in a bit of a quandary.
he has decided to go public with his apostate leanings, because it is becoming too hard to play the role of a meek, spiritually weak witness--complete with looks of pity and concern from his mother and siblings, and contempt from his sister-in-law.
timmm is sure one brother will have nothing to do with him after this, and he can live with that.

This is so distressing to Timmm that its making his hair fall out!
There may be the possibility that Timmm might have to begin to understand that his family is exhibiting or is affected by addictive, dysfunctional behavior similar to alcoholics and are so far gone there may be nothing he could do or say to save them from their plight, except seek professional counsel to extricate himself from their destructive cycle and save himself.

How many here work for yourselves?
by Leander insome of you may have read some of my earlier posts about my job issues, well i followed the advice that some of you contributed and i'm on my way to starting my own business.
i have a fairly good strategy that i will attempt to follow but i'm back again for more advice.. my first goal is to obtain a business license and establish a business name.
tomorrow i'm going to spend a few hours at the library and try to read up a bit on the different ways to proceed with a small business.

J.C., what do you think of current situation in the stock market? ;-)
Sunshine, no sweat! Current Stock market indexes haven't reached the levels of 74 -75 which were an extremely distant second to the levels of the early 'Thirties'. Today's negative market anomaly isn't even in the same ball-park...yet.
In regards to the 74-75 market 'crash', I suspect, much to the chagrin of the WTBTS Marketing Department, and conversely, to the glee of the WTBTS Finance Department the market rebounded tremendously and says a lot for playing 'it' both ways. Or more to the point, if you intend to 'Advertise! Advertise! Advertise!' schlock, it might be best to Diversify! Diversify! Diversify!

Do you hate me?
by SpiceItUp inperhaps i'm just a bit paranoid..but i get the feeling that there are a few posters that actually hate me (before its assumed--no i'm talking about lack of responses to my threads.. and no i am not talking about a disagreement of opinion) i am talking about a few posters that come across to me as very hateful in their responses.. and yes i know that not everyone here will like me (even though i'm so darn sweet and cute...lol) but it is an intense animosity vibe that i get and can't seem to shake.. maybe i am mistaken and maybe its just me..... but if there is anyone out there that does dislike me that much---i am curious as to why---only because i try to learn and grow everyday and your input would be especially valuable and probably essential to that -growth.. so whats the verdict---do you love me, hate me or just not care either way?.

Carol, if I had to compliment every post that I thought poignant, pithy or pretty good I'd have little time to eat, sleep or work let alone read posts.
It's a mystery to me how others can take the time to post brilliant pieces of work at no cost to me and yet they can still afford a 'cable' connection.

Hang on, while I find my glasses!
Obviously another indication the WTBTS is hurting, now the corporation is resorting to printing their dopy directives on really small pieces of paper, making the rank and file carry the cost of eye-ware. :)
