Babies get shunned
by Crooked Lumpy Vessel inmy sister was recently disfellowshipped and she told me that she was eating in a restaurant yesterday when the elder that disfellowshipped her was seated at the table next to her.
of course they would not breathe a word to her.
but her son (4 years old) had kept saying hello over and over to the elder and his wife and they both refused to acknowledge him, smile of even say hello back.

What Are Your All Time Favorite TV Shows?
by minimus inall in the family is one of the very best series, in my opinion.. when i see re-runs of the andy griffith show, i smile.
when i was a kid, i never really appreciated don knotts and the gang as much as i do now.. taxi was another favorite.
hill street blues was great.

My favourites shows are Dexter, Hereos, House and Prison Break (which finished) and Star Trek TNG, Voyager, & Enterprise.

I passed my Leed Exam!
by liquidsky injust bragging.... after months of rigorous studying i took the leed accredited professional exam this morning and passed!
i'm so happy!
for those of you who don't know what leed is it's leadership in energy and enviromental design (green building).

How do you know when such love is given? and how does it manifest itself? Is it a feeling?
Or is it just being alive that is 'the proof' of love that is talked about?

Are We Kind Because It's the Right thing to Do/Or Because "God"Tells Us To?
by flipper inin seeing the " debates " the last couple days of religionists debating with atheists i couldn't help but start a thread on what i have noticed since leaving the jehovah's witnesses religion.
personally just to set the record straight on my views personally i consider myself a strong agnostic, perhaps a weak and learning atheist, if that makes any sense .
while in the witnesses, i was always annoyed ( for 44 years i might add) by some who considered themselves very " spiritual " being kind to others in a facade kind of manner.

I think we are born good.
I think we are taught kindness and hurtfulness...
if no one ever hurt us, or was mean to us from early childhood to adolescence, but only kind
then as adults we would have no concept of hurting another human, and would only know kindness..
Humans have learned that if we treat others nicely, we will get treated nicely in return.
Don't need god or religion to figure that out.
