I'm a softy, so I would allow it....can you nudge him if the snoring gets too loud?
If you lock him out of your bedroom at night, would he whine a lot causing you to lose more sleep?
i know you are all tired of hearing from me about dogs, but i need help.. our one dobie sleeps where he is suppose to after being tucked in, kissed, and his head laid down on a pillow.
his older brother after experiencing the same, after about an hour, quietly gets up and sneaks down the hall way, begging to get into bed with us.. here is the problem, the boys are 100 pounds each.
when the older one sneaks in he promptly lays down between us with his head on the pillows.
I'm a softy, so I would allow it....can you nudge him if the snoring gets too loud?
If you lock him out of your bedroom at night, would he whine a lot causing you to lose more sleep?
are we going to heaven hell, purgatory?
are we able to sense anything?
do we really die??
Being a fan of Stargate, I like the story lines that deal with ascension. So I hope in some way, or form, we ascend.
just saw dubs in the neighborhood.
they had magazines hidden in mainla file folders as they went door to door.
is this a new policy or just a local phenomena.
I love the idea of then getting on reality TV. Also an idea for a WT article: "Reality TV -- Is It For Christians?"
i have been reading posts here since long time.hope to have nice and productive conversations.

especially those who didn't go on account of the borg (the vast majority).
do you regret this decision?
if you did go what would you have studied?
I found out in the last years of my mom's life, she told me that my dad wanted me to go to college. He was not a JW, but my mom was heavily influenced by the Borg and so she got her way, and I didn't go. I don't know what I would have studied because even back then, I didn't know what I wanted to study anyway.
Now I don't think I would go.....I went to massage school two yrs. ago and that has put me on a different track. I was exposed to energy work and I would like to explore that further.
couldn't decide which i liked better, here they are.
ok here is the key and real meaning of life...listen up i'm only going to say this once.
there are 3 stages to human existance.
Hi Brinjen,
Yes I agree with Frankie and nvr as well. Did you ever see the TV series Roots? Remember when Kunte Kinte was just born, his father raised him towards the heavens, it was a starry night, and he said, "Behold, something greater than yourself"? So maybe it is beyond our understand or maybe we have to figure it out--we may never get the answer, but the enjoyment is the journey.
Anyway, on the Science channel tonight, (Sunday) there are two programs coming on about TIME. 9:00-10:00 and 10:00-11:00 pm, EST). The first program is an exploration of whether Time is experienced within the body or outside. Sounds intriguing and setting my DVR to record.
i was reading the threads http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/129051/1.ashx (remember the song make the truth your own?
) and http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/9/136242/1.ashx (the messages are always there), and was reminded that i had been intending to post something along these lines before and never got around to it.
note: i was raised in the wcg (armstrong), not a jw, but i've found they're similar in many ways, and i believe this to be another one:.
Oh God, no!!! I can't carry a tune---but I still love to sing, and I always wished I could sound better, but never let it stop me, even though my kids would get after me about it, but I'd carry right on!
Being raised in the '50's, my mom and dad listened to a radio station which played a lot of '40's music, so I was exposed to that and then every day after school, I'd come home and watch American Bandstand, and loved the '50's rock and roll. Then as a teen in the mid-'60's there was Motown and all their great music, and as the years went by, there was such great music and there is always a tune popping into my head, and I will break out in a song at home, or in the shower, (which really makes you sound good) and when I'm out, I sing under my breath. I also like some Broadway tunes which swim around in my head.
And I have to admit, some (not many) of the "Kingdom" melodies give me a chill--especially ones from the Psalms about dwelling in the house/temple of God.

My 2 cents.......The meaning of life is to be happy. It's to find something which gives you purpose and a sense of accomplishment/satisfaction which brings happiness....maybe to contribute something to the world. Raising children (if you want to have any) to be sensible, decent and carry on what you started in your own household.
All human beings were meant to be happy.....and don't put any judgements on anybody---just accept whoever comes into your life. Observe your pets; they don't put any conditions on you--they just accept you, love you, depend on you and that is very rewarding!
And if you are in your mid-50's and still don't know what you want to do when you grow up, don't worry! Keep searching and it will find you.
And then of course, you could always watch Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life"
the practice of choosing biblical names for children is present in many forms of christianity.
in latin america, countless boys are named jesus either as a first name or second name.
there is even that singer jesus jones.
The history of Noah's sons (Genesis chapter 10) lists some strange names....of them is Magog (how about that?)
Also Exodus 6:14-25 lists sons born to the sons of Israel, with interesting and/or strange names, such as Elizaphan, Sithri, Ithamar, Abiasaph, Putiel.
the july 15 watchtower tells you how to fade ( pg.28) it seems that many are "faithfully" serving.
despite depression, post traumatic stress disorder, bipolar issues and phobias.
this sort of article.
My husband told the elders about 2 or 3 yrs. ago when they came to see how he was doing (they haven't been back since), that he felt better now that he stopped going to meetings, etc. They didn't know what to say, so they asked him if in the future, he might come back, and he said "maybe he might." And so with that said, they left.
Now there has been one elder who is retired that goes in service on weekdays, so whenever he is on my street he'll knock on the door to say hello and invite me to the summer convention. He also came by to invite us to this year's Memorial and after I said what I said, he may never come back again! We'll see!
