ok here's what i need, theres a group on facebook that has a kid that claims the events of 1975 are nothing but rubish, basically he says that it was the publishers who just started rumors, this is where you guys come in.. i want to show him that the society is responsible for 1975 that they did in fact lead millions to believe the end was coming that fall, that people actually did make dramatic changes in their lives ( getting dunked, selling houses, not having children, moving where the need is greater) you get the drift.

i need the following:.

At the hall last night

i went to the hall last night to get an insight book and a concordance.

i had set it up with an elder ahead of time to get them.

i arrived after the meeting had ended, walked up to the counter anxious to leave as quickly as i came when a big brother came up to me, planted his body in between me and the literature servant and started giving me the third degree about who i am, what is my standing in the congregation, and what did i want the books for.

Oh I'd love to read about that in the local "Police News".

"Officers responding to a 911 call last Thursday at 9:27 PM at the local Jehovah's Witness church were surprised to find that the call was made because a young man was attempting to get some literature supplied by the church members in their preaching work. every monday night starting 10pm, msnbc along with authorities trap pedophiles who have made internet arrangements to have sex with under-age children are filmed and exposed to the public.

this passed monday night, they arrested 21 pedophiles making such arrangements.

the one that caught my interest was the pedophile having to travel 350 miles (one way) to have sex with a teenager!

I recorded it and had my 14 yr. old granddaughter watch it. I think it really opened her eyes about people pretending to be something they are not. It also made her realize that cops, homeland security (officers ?), preachers, teachers, coaches, soldiers, and anyone else can be a sexual predator.

I think the show has it's merits even some would just view it as entertainment.

Terry - good point about building hospitals etc., I appreciate your responses, always helps me fire up those almost dead synapses.

My MIL told me the other day that I knew what I was getting into before I got baptized and I shouldn't be digging around now looking for problems. I told her that I really didn't remember much about the "God's channel and you have to listen to us" nonsense and that I felt like it had come in small doses over the years. Sure, they encouraged me to do research on points that they could twist, like birthdays having pagan roots, but now I realize it that it was all stuff that really doesn't matter. Some meat.

She apparently hasn't read her 09/07 Km because she has never even heard of them discouraging research outside their publications. I told her that was one of my main issues. They give it out in small doses so you don't even realize that you are accepting something. Once they wrap it all up, in whatever "lesson",you think you knew it all along.
