Oct 22 1973 p6}, to know that your religion was in no way afraid of being exposed to scrutiny {WT Aug 1 1978 p12}, to be willing to submit everything to scrutiny {Awake! Aug 22 1984 p22/28}, to have an open mind {WT Nov 22 1984 p3-4}, to examine other people's religion with an open mind {WT Apr 1 1991 p17} and to exhibit freedom of thought {Awake! Jun 8 1994 p21};

(2) YOU MUST ALSO: not read literature critical of the WTBTS (it is likened to spiritual pornography), not question WTBTS teachings or authority in any way, be submissive and trusting, accept all WTBTS teachings as if they come direct from God - and that independent thinking is from Satan.
The wordings in the articles makes it clear that it is more than counsel or guidance - it is policy.

Can't you read? The case was already established. Out of fairness one was looking for mitigation - schizophrenia, some other form of mental illness beyond the normal levels of WT-brainwashing, etc.

To all: don't let this common jerkdiscourage you with his legalistic claptrap and attempts to confuse and put you off (as I have said, if that is not his intention, then he is nuts - for that is the only real consequence of his misconduct). Contrary to what both the Watchtower and the F iend Class try to tell you - THE SIMPLEST EXPLANATION IS VERY OFTEN THE CORRECT ONE. And I have provided that explanation. We'll be examining the cessation of F iend's involvement in h2O administration in future sessions.
