Describe The Jehovah's Witness Community
by minimus inin your experience, are witnesses all about love?.
is the brotherhood really what it is said to be?.
did you feel the love from "the friends"?.

How Did You Interact With JWs That Would Seem To Always Get Into Trouble?
by minimus incertain witnesses always seemed to be getting into trouble.
(maybe you were one of them).
did you gravitate toward these ones or did you avoid them as much as possible?.

Good question! In looking back, it seemed my best friends in the congo always seemed to be the ones that ultimately got in trouble. My three best friends growing up all got DF'ed for rebellious activity and immorality. Makes me wonder if I was attracted to that "fringe" element in the hall.

Has your Relationship with your Parents Improved or Regressed as you Aged ?
by flipper ini guess this time of year with the holidays my thoughts gravitate to family and for me it's usually a time of reflection on how my relationships have been going with my family .
thinking about what i want to accomplish or avoid in the coming year regarding family relationships.
thus i thought of this question in my thread as a way of reflection on my life ; and thought it might help some of you reflect as well.

My Mother and I have a great relationship...as long as we don't get on the subject of the JW's. As she has aged, only her apostate son has been there for her to help financially, with driving errands, shopping, legal issues and medical issues. She still thinks the "brothers" are so wonderful, but with the exception of my JW brother, I have never seen anyone from the congregation help her in any fashion...other than get her a phone hook up for the meetings. It is a good but awkward situation between us. She loves her boy as long as she pretends I am not out of the WT, but she can't see the lack of "love" from the congregation. Very odd....

Who was the biggest Jehovah's Witness rebel?
by slimboyfat inwho was raised a jw and went on to lead life in stark contrast to their upbringing?.
i have often thought the award should go to dwight eisenhower.
from a religion that railed against politics and warfare he first invaded western europe and then went on to become president of the united states.

I would agree that Carl Olaf Jonsson, James Penton and Randy Watters should be on the list...I think what sets Ray Franz apart from the rest is the position of "inside" knowledge and responsibility he held and his courage to take a stand against it. The rest of the gentleman were very courageous (read that as "rebellious" in JW-speak) and have made their mark as WT rebels.

I am blessed to have great relationships with both my adult kids. Though they were raised as JW's, neither of them are in now. They both got college degrees and good jobs. They both have healthy relationships.

He does protest to much...
by loosie ini was watching one of those american justice type shows today.
a man came home and found a pool of blood on the bed and his wife and daughter were missing.
he called 911 to report it.. so the police search for a suspect.

Being a police officer, I can tell you that protest by diversion make me very suspicious. An innocent person is generally very direct about their innocence. The minute someone tries to use outside influences in their protests, ie: "I'm a good person" "I am a Christian" I've never been in trouble", it makes me very suspicious. An innocent person generally says, "I didn't do it!" and then can supply a good alibi.
I agree with Outlaw...lurkers are very good at using the diversion tactic to deny their guilt for lying or being on "apostate" sites.
